I was really impressed with that ginger lad that you had in midfield.

Easily your best player.

He was just poor all round, even when he was playing for you....

Sorry, I meant the last two games before the CB one, one home and one away as Corby was near enough for me to go to without getting a b*llocking!!

I agree that everyone is entitled to spend their holiday however they wish too - I've never questioned the extremely admirable effort that some go to in order to go to away games but it's not something I would choose to do as I travel enough in my job and save my 6 weeks holiday a year to visit close family overseas.

Looking forward to Saturday if it goes ahead.

I would have probably been made redundant if I had gone! I'd rather save any holiday (required to make a trip like that) so that I could spend it with my family and avoid them being 'gutted' that I had used it on a midweek football match.

Maybe I didn't use the best of analogies but just a further attempt to try and emphasise the "it's only a game" idea.

I don't follow any other 'bigger' team incidentally and never have. I get enough ribbing off my Man Utd supporting mates for having a season ticket for home games! I look forward to seeing more of the decent football on Saturday, just like I have witnessed over the last two home games.

Hang on, I've just remembered you're the pedantic master - so I realise you will respond to say you would be absolutely gutted by both losing your job and a football match. So I've saved you the effort and done it already!

Ok, gutted maybe - but heartbroken?? Shall we get the violins out and then start cuddling everyone?

It's clearly a personal opinion thing and we're all entitled to those. I'd be absolutely gutted if I was made redundant but, for you, that feeling is created by losing a football match, which is just as acceptable if you feel that way.
