He was, is and will always be a thoroughly unpleasant man  :bunny

How tight are the purse strings being pulled this season?

Has the proposed move to the Quadrant affected the playing budget?

Geographical location has always worked against us, which means that a contract for players is all the more important.

Who would willingly travel further on a 'zero hours' contract, than stay more local for a year's contract?

Interesting one. Are you going to attract the best players on non contract terms?  :-\

Good luck to him. It's a great opportunity for him at a 'big' club.

Another season comes to an end, plenty of highlights it seems, but never did we mount a sustained challenge for promotion, which has to be a major disappointment.

Me thinks there will be more of the same next season, as the club prepares for and gives priority to its relocation.

No real serious title challenge , mid table plus.

Greenes appears to be on a much  smaller scale and hopefully will have little effect on the club .
The vast difference is that Greene is commited to repaying the monies .
Macfraud & CO if it had not been for Chestnuts rescue would have killed the club .
How much did Mcfraud pay back to the tax man ?

Of course McFraud's crime was on a larger scale and intent was there from the very start, but interesting to see how people will ignore/forgive when is suits….

I am not saying that supporters shouldn't have a view or that they shouldn't be allowed to express it as many have on here but, I do feel that without knowing all the facts, for anyone to have a go at, and make demands on the chairman is a very dangerous game if we want the club to progress.

Fact is the manager has been convicted of a crime.

Fact the club has not made a statement about that.

To many people that does seem strange.

Not sure what is the dangerous game here. Whilst I haven't made demands on the Chairman - is he above criticism if people think he has done wrong (not necessarily on this issue) but as a general principle?.

Will he walk out of on the club if criticism is levelled his way?

Think the chairman, can decipher between nonsense, delusionists, those with axes to grind and fair criticism.

We have to admit there is a level of hypocrisy here.

Because 'we' like Mr. Newton & Mr. Greene and the team are doing quite well, then nothing is allowed to be said against them without expecting to be abused.

It is strange that the manager of a club is convicted of a serious offence and nothing is said about it by the club.

Publicity we could do without for sure.

DG getting more support than the Fatty McFraud, but both taking from the public purse ….

Glad to see that UKIP don't have a monopoly on disgusting gutter like remarks.

Most UKIP representatives would be proud of such comments.

UKIP aren't capable of running their own party never mind a government.

But they did sponsor the club run by criminals and they have a large creditor on their balance sheet.....Sotnick's pay back?

Such information is in the public domain, so no need to attend meetings I assume?!
Will be interesting to see when everything is done and dusted whether the alleged £1million on the balance is actually paid to the said parties.

One of the big differences between the previous bunch and the Chestnuts is that as a local company with a reputation to protect, they have to get it right
for the club or suffer a potential backlash.

Ultimately if it is a win/win situation the vast majority of people will be happy.
