It may be tonight's wine talking, but what about these ideas (I apologise if they've been mentioned elsewhere):

1] When my other team (Derby) relaid the infamous Baseball ground pitch, they offered mementos of the old pitch, as in the photo I hope I've attached (haven't tried this before). I'd certainly buy a sample of the York Street pitch.

2] I have a framed photo of the old Baseball ground (a rather unatmospheric aerial view, unfortunately). I'd love an atmospheric photo of York Street.

and

3] Like the rest of you, I've no idea what's going to happen next season (or even this, at the time of writing). I feel the Chestnuts deserve as much support as people are able to give, and I will buy a season ticket for next year even if I don't see a ball kicked in the flesh.

It probably is the wine, but that's how I feel!

I made my first visit to Boston yesterday since lockdown to see my very elderly parents (in the garden, distancing observed, of course) and drove past the new ground. What those of us out of the area who rely on the helpful webcam can't see is how much progress has been made with the entrance side of the main stand. It really is beginning to look very impressive and gives me great confidence. Well done to everyone. UTP!

Congrats to Shiels indeed. I went for him in the end, although Platt was much in my mind. Both had outstanding seasons, and I think KP is right in that Platt (the sort of player we've been needing for a while) let Abbott and Thanoj get back to good form. Let's hope we get to see them all again at some point......

Delighted you're back with us Oxo. I left SE Spain 10 days or so ago when there seemed to be no crisis there at all. We must compare experiences when we're next allowed to meet. Keep well everyone.

I left SE Spain (visiting nephew) by train on Tuesday, coming home via Barcelona and Paris (nights in each), so am keeping out of people's way for a bit - and particularly not visiting my 91-year-old parents in Boston until I know I didn't get anything. OK so far. May have got out of Spain in time.....
