The B-Ark / THE TOWNEND....
« on: April 06, 2015, 06:50:57 PM »
If you were in The Townend today,(vs Tamworth) take a bow guys.....Ladys and gentlemen you were superb....
From the off you were right behind the team and you managed to get the whole stadium involved....
I stand along Spayne Lane and to look across and see The Townend full like it was today is a fantastic sight.....Keep it up guys...you are our 12th man....

The B-Ark / FACT....we just aint good enough....
« on: October 25, 2014, 05:37:54 PM »
Im normally very pro-Pilgrim in my postings, but Im afraid AFTER YET ANOTHER HOME DEFEAT,you can only come to the conclusion that we just aint good enough and even the most mild tempered fan has to make a comment like this......

We have,IMO, 3 good players....Mills,Pidge and Garner...all 100% commited to the cause...
the rest you may as well get rid of and start again...

We also HAVE NO TACTICS,apart from booting the high ball upfield and hoping for the best....Well come on,it may work every now and then BUT NOT EVERY WEEK....

We havent had a decent creative or defensive midfield player for ages....in fact we havent had a midfield all season...or last season....or the season before....

All these home defeats and a cup exit at Leak dont happen by accident....such results need to tell the Club something about either the players  or the management they employ...
The true fans are getting restless, its all very well getting a new stadium but whats the point if the team is rubbish.....
Of course money is tight,it is at most non-league clubs, but we keep getting beaten by "small teams" who are technically better than us,physically stronger, more street-wise than us and have a game-plan to beat us.....

The B-Ark / B.U.S.A....
« on: July 10, 2014, 10:25:50 PM »
I,like many others, attended the Fans Forum tonight and I have to say that its very reassuring to have a Group like BUSA supporting the venture.I thought that the comments made by Glen tonight were excellent and I for one, despite being a long standing supporter, didnt realise everything that BUSA does for the Club and the significant amount of money they raise.
Glen, like David Newton and the rest of the "top table" said he wants everybody to support the planning application in any and every way  possible. One of the ways we can all help is by paying £10 and joining BUSA.
I unfortunately had to leave straight away after the meeting but I would like to join BUSA.....Is it possible to do this on line?
If it is,Im sure BUSA numbers would increase. I for one would join straight away......

The B-Ark / THATS ENTERTAINMENT!!...
« on: January 07, 2014, 10:15:10 PM »
15 GOALS in 4 days in consectutive home games at YS...
A first half hat-trick....
3 penalties...
2 backs-to-the wall performances by United....

Surely this sort of entertainment will bring the "missing " fans back?#
OK,we cant defend, weve got no midfield either but its very exciting at the moment and we are hanging around the playoff positions.....

Johnny Pilgrim says get down to YS for the next home game...

The B-Ark / Ron Atkinson in the Pilgrim Lounge....
« on: November 29, 2013, 07:42:59 AM »
what a cracking buzzing evening it was......the event was completely sold out and I suspect if the Pilgrim Lounge could accommodate more punters, there would have been even more there....It was in my opinion an excellent evening, well organised and professionally presented by the club....Big Ron was quite happy to pose for photos and sign autographs, and was generally quite entertaining with his stories....Paul Boardman is a very funny comedian and all credit to those involved for bringing it all together....Events like this, with such high profile speakers, can only enhance the Clubs standing in the community...Onwards and upwards!

The B-Ark / BUFC V COLWYN BAY....
« on: November 09, 2013, 05:41:01 PM »
What an amaaazing game today at YS.....in the end it turned out to be a gritty performance from The Pilgrims to gain the 3 points which seemed most unlikely at halftime after an uninspiring first half performance....Whether CB had a legitimate penalty is perhaps anybodys guess....I certainly couldn't see the incident from Spain Lane.....2 second yellows for CB turn the game around and in the end 3 well earnt and richly deserved points for United....what a cracking well rehearsed Pilgrims winner....they tried the same free kick trick a few weeks ago v Harrogate and it failed miserably...but today...wham!

The B-Ark / another low gate....another beating
« on: January 29, 2013, 09:39:49 PM »
its astonishing how many games we manage to lose at clubs who have nowhere near the home crowds that BUFC attract....tonight at Alty is another classic example...561.....Somethings not right....our gate money and revenue far excedes most BSN clubs and we are struggling....theoretically we should be attracting, and paying, better players than we currently have.....it dont add up..

The B-Ark / Get behind your team FFS....
« on: November 21, 2012, 08:05:00 AM »
please read the comments Ive posted in the Solihull match thread....
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of abuse and critisicm BUFC get from their so called supporters after a defeat or a draw...its quite frankly astonishing...
I agree we are perhaps going through a tricky spell, but we are a very young and inexperienced team, some of whom are playing for I suspect low money and are still learning their trade...
I say get behind your team and instead of moaning about low attendances doing something positive about it by going to the game yourself or encouraging other people to go aswell.
Rant over....get real folks..

The B-Ark / How to throw a game away.....BUFC 1-3 Giuesley
« on: November 17, 2012, 05:44:40 PM »
After playing really well early on and scoring a good goal, BUFC decided to take a leaf out of the THFC football manual and surrendered 2 easy goals to their visitors....shame really because IMO we didnt deserve to lose the game and there were some fine individual performances....AVB and JL must both be extremely frustrated....

The B-Ark / A golden opportunity thrown away....
« on: October 20, 2012, 06:17:23 PM »
A cracking game today and I thought we played really well....considering the circumstances....But having said that this was a golden opportunity which,in my opinion,we threw away.....Perhaps BF could have been dealt a yellow for his wreckless lunge at the ball, because it was perhaps a 50-50 encounter.....but really he couldnt complain at being dealt a red....as for SWD he should realise that you cant do that to an opponent and complain about receiving a red card....it was two moments of pure irresponsible madness which cost us a game which we were well capable of winning,it also cost us a chance of receiving much needed revenue and a place in the next round....Both players should have a long hard look at their actions today...

« on: August 21, 2012, 10:19:29 PM »
Stunning result at YS tonight....totally unexpected.....BUT WHAT A PERFORMANCE....some of the footie played by BUFC tonight was IMO some of the BEST EVER I have seen there...a bold statement to make I know, considering I have been going to YS since 1968.....WE WERE SUPERB.....and anybody who was there tonight will most likely say the same....Happy Days ahead hopefully...
