Reece Thompson wasn't exactly a role model either, although he'd not committed any offence before he joined us or during his time here

allegedly.....

Although some of us have been in the groundcare industry for well over 2 decades but lets not stop some of you having a cheap pop eh...... I've enjoyed blocking the usual blow hards and brain deads over the last few days and will no doubt block more tonight.

I've made a point of apologizing to Jim and his staff for questioning them on the Facebook page, I'm sure others will follow suit.......

Nothing would surprise me if The Walks ends up as another housing estate a bit like Fenland Park, the old home of Wisbech Town and Kings Lynn end up in a similar mess to The Fenmen.

Lump on.

It was Nikko I was replying to....... I know Pete can't help himself where I'm concerned!

I seem to be living rent free in his head for some curious reason

If you were chairman, what would you do differently to David Newton then Andy?

Remember, you're not allowed to spend money we don't have, as that's what left us in the shit the first time around.
Tumble Weed

looks like it's taking a bit of working out... ;D

I've absolutely no idea who you are but you seem to have a massive problem with me and my opinions.......

Agree with the above no game for a couple of weeks and we treat the paying fans to a team that was always going to get beat. I have questioned what this hybrid system is bringing to the club and what this so called under 23 team is really all about and last night did nothing to answer those questions. I find it confusing that the fans through BUSA are raising money to finance the under 23s set up as advertised in the BUSA posters around the ground, I would have thought that the cost would have been covered in the clubs budget however, ours is not to question why even though we keep pumping our money into the club. UTP

Unless you were being sarcastic there Mel you've every right to question where your money goes.

Thats the problem here, people won't ask questions because they'll get shot down by the "be grateful to have a club" & "how dare you question our board" mob.

As pointless as last night was it has exposed the folly of this half baked hybrid system for the 'jobs for the boys' fiasco it is. David needs to dispense with it and go back to part time where we attract the better, more experienced lads at this level, not wet behind the ears academy lads who aren't strong enough for thie level of football.

And then you wonder why long term legacy fans of almost 50 years like myself are increasingly growing completely disillusioned with the club.

Off the pitch spot on, never been better.

On it, a half arsed shambles that lurches from embarrassment to embarrassment at every turn.

In the grand scheme of things I'm miles behind the likes of Josh, Rich Collins, The Jacko's and one or two others that have been going away for years. I did have a 9 year break as a single parent or that would be nearer 200.

I've Sheff Utd supporting friends who are on 3-400+ grounds and I know Adam Shergold is getting on for 500 speaking to him at Peterborough the other night.

There's at least 2 more new ones for me with Warrington and South Shields this season, and fingers crossed for Goodison at the seasons end too.

Not bitterness and negativity, just a hefty does of the realism you and the rest of the "just be happy we've a club to support" mob would do well to acknowledge.

Its shameful that a club of this size should be marooned in the middle of a regional league so long.

Another slow start, 2 gift goals and if it weren't for the keeper it would have been 4 inside half an hour.

By the time we realized Brackley were no better than us it was too late, lots of huff and puff, lots of effort but an alarmingly low quality threshold.

My first trip to Sid James Park, a better venue than I expected and decent people at the club but its a sobering reminder that we've been at this level 13 seasons now without ever really threatening to get out of the division, let alone win the thing. We come to accept this level of mediocrity now and once you settle for second best the only way is down. Massive respect to the 80-100 regular away fans, true friends of football because that was as a forgettable a performance as every other one I've seen this season, you all deserve so much better.

Ground Number 162 ticked off.

Thought the same Mick, hopefully an early call either way on Friday night or Saturday morning saves a lot of aggravation.

Often after results like this I’m on social media venting my frustration. Sadly it’s becoming the norm and like many others I just can’t be bothered. I have a season ticket so I will be there Saturday but if I hadn’t I might join the 500 fans that have drifted away. Some people say look at the league we are in a good position but let’s face it I think the quality I’ve seen from away teams has been the worst for several years.
Apathy has crept in, it’s obvious that we are so light squad wise and especially in attacking options.

I too are fed up with the constant drivil from the management team, we are losing to teams that I have to search on google to see where they are from, bloody rubbish Boston.

The club would do well to listen to these kind of posts, I only attend away games on a very infrequent basis but I hear it all the time from lifelong supporters of the club who have just about had enough of the constant mediocrity served up post covid/post ground move. I know of around a dozen regular York Street attendees who were long term 25+ seasons supporters who now either don't attend or only attend when it suits them, not as a matter of course.
It was a frequently touted phrase that The JCS would be a game changer but all I've seen is division in the support and a general apathy about the direction of the club, which can't have gone un-noticed in the board room. The lack of information coming out of the club smacks of the bad old days of the 90's before E*ans arrived when a club communication with the fans was about as common as a visit from Halleys Comet.....it begs the question what has happened to warrant this change in approach?

Well part of the problem is that however nice the new ground is, or could be, it still isn't york street. Even York street in decline was still full of memories and, give it its due, it was for a couple of decades a ground to be proud of at non-league level. I mean, would anybody have swapped it for, say fylde, Scunthorpe or Walsall.

There are a number of things that put people off going:-
1. Team becomes shit
2. Move to a ground that isn't miles better than the old one
3. Turnover of players so that the connection between the team and the supporters is lost. "I don't know who any of these players are" syndrome.
4. Detestable owner or manager - glazers, evans, fat Mike Ashley, and not in that order.

When you get two of the four it's bad, three is a serious problem.

Good job DN & NK are good men or we'd be in serious bother!

you are bang on about the churn of players though, I know I'm no longer a regular but I don't recognize a single player, if you have a slight hiatus in support you can generally go back and see one or two familiar faces, but to me they are a team of strangers.

That wonderful technology BUSA provided has been used for pathetic and pointless Tik Tok video's that add nothing to the general air of frustration around the club.

They aren't aimed at you, but for the teenagers who never put their phone down. They bring the players closer to the younger fans.

Ah, thanks for that Scott, that'll be the same players that jump ship for a tenner a week elsewhere then........what great models to learn from eh?
