Anyone know why Darren Smith is not assisting Elliott this season. Maybe he was the motivator and the person to help Elliott get the best from the players. From Elliott's interviews he is hurting just like us. Hopefully he can get rid of the hangers on and rebuild like he did last November.

Listened to Craig Elliott on Friday football. McCombe is still part of the squad but there has been a conversation between him and Elliott. Also couldn't get signings done in time for tomorrow but expects them to be done on Monday.

Spot on assessment Mick. They were a yard quicker all over the pitch. Looked better when Thompson and Kabbie came on. Pleased to see Elliott talking to Hawley throughout the game. Would think he will make changes for Tuesdays game so he can have a look at everybody before deciding who isn't up to the fight.

So those people calling for change- change to who?
Murray goes so someone put in charge on a caretaker basis =instabilty as he can't really change anything whilst recruitment takes place. New manager then needs time to get to know players =instability trying out different formations. New manager then decides who's not good enough and brings players in ( if there are any better out there! ) =more instability. For want of a cliche ( or 2) "Rome wasn't built in a day" "you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette".
Everyone gave their all last night and the Town end responded. We need more of that in the weeks ahead so lets get behind them and give them our support.

I am disappointed and frustrated at how the season is going but I have to admire Adam's honesty at admitting he has made mistakes. He knows things need to change and needs to be given the chance to try. Unfortunately I think Greg Smith needs to go out on loan to get fit. Looked off the pace, couldn't hold the ball up and kept having a go at his team mates (not in a nice way).
Will be interesting to see what squad movement there is this week but whatever happens I will be there next saturday supporting the lads in amber and black.

People need to look long term. He is making changes from the bottom upso that we grow our own. He has admitted that things aren't working so let's give him the time to change it. We could be the team that puts a run together at the end and catch everyone unawares

I am not singling him out but tbh we were being penalised for most tackles anyway. I hope he uses his enforced lay off to lose weight and work on his fitness as at times even when he was on the pitch it felt like we had 10 men

It wasn't special treatment as he was given a 2 year contract by Greene. If there is no way  of releasing him send him out on loan for the rest of the season. He didn't do an awful lot when he was on the pitch- couldn't/wouldn't run for ball and couldn't/wouldn't jump either.  Twice he took the ball away from others who were in better positions. We should be grateful for all he did last season but we can't afford players sitting out games for ill discipline.
