hence the signings from Alfreton and maybe more with Grimsby connection.
shrewd addition with plenty of local experience.

Also Scott Wiseman played in the final. Think he had a few games for us on loan a few years back if its the same one?

Of the 8 signed on from last year I would only have offered terms to 4 of those.
Leave the rest of you to figure out which ones. Not fair to mention names imo.

Re next season it gives Craig a lot of scope to bring in better players if he
can persuade them to come. There must be lots out there.

Lets see what happens now before everybody starts slagging him of again.

food for thought.

won 17 games of which 11 were against the bottom six teams.
only 4 victories against the 10 sides above us in the league
obviously only 6 victories against the rest of the league.

10 defeats at home. cant remember when that last happened.
but only 8 points off the play offs.
60 goals against us in the league.

sums up the league this year.

Vast improvement  needed all over the team for next year.

I am concerned that a lot of the current squad have been re-signed.

It concerns me that 7 of this squad are already signed for next year. Considering the season we have had this is
very concerning from my part. I thought we were terrible yesterday, the only ball out seemed to be a big kick
out to the left for Wafula to try and head on. Painful to watch.

10 league matches lost at home is unbelievable, only the three sides in the relegation positions are worse. If we
hadn't won those matches away we would have been down there with them.

Despite those already signed we need a major overall for next year, at least 10 better players, I hope Craig has
some good ideas already in the pipeline otherwise it looks grim.

Actually I thought we were poor yesterday and I thought for top of the league Chorley
were pretty average. Seen plenty of team better than them this year, but hey they are
top and we mid table.

Not totally critical of manager but I  thought tactics were wrong again today. they had 3
big defender who could head the ball all day, as usual our keeper continued to play
long balls downfield. What this type of defender does not like is pace and width and we
had an excellent pacey winger sitting on the bench all game. Cant understand why Max
was not starting and we need three in midfield as so often only 2 are played. The
opposition invariably pack midfield which costs us time and again.

Not critical of individual players like some on here, but Craig's post match interview
was very revealing. End of the line for several of this squad obviously

Just hope he gets the recruitment right for next year because we are a few players
away from being a good side and challenging next year.
