Jesus Christ will you tell you and your grandad to let this go please. We’re not really interested in every movement from Boston Town

The B-Ark / Re: Spennymoor match now at Harrogate!
« on: April 11, 2018, 07:50:40 PM »
First game I have been able to watch united for a while due to working Saturdays and was pleasantly surprised at the performance before the game I would’ve snapped your hand off with a point especially after seeing spennymoor tearing us apart earlier in the season. But walked away wondering how we didn’t win the game.

Thought we just about edged the first half not many real clear cut chances and second half how we didn’t score I will never know. The three players I would do my utmost to build the team around next year hemmings, thommo and abbot all missing guilt edge chances. A mixture of good keeping and poor finishing, hemmings cut inside and tried to place it rather than hitting it as hard as he could tipped over and thommo’s cut back anywhere else and it’s a goal and Abbott’s rebound which any of the 2 united players next to him could’ve had a touch and placed it in but we panicked and snatched at it.

Defence pretty much dealt with everything relatively comfortably, midfield managed to settle but Clifton you could tell looked like he had missed a lot of football and beesley looks so short of confidence.

As for Reece Thompson every time I see him play I just wonder why he’s with us, unbelievable attitude and work rate and has the ability to back it up.

Much credit must go to Craig and his team for turning round such an awfully assembled side especially mid season to a very outside chance of a play off side

I’m sorry but unfortunately Willis is just best out of a bad bunch between him and Stewart at the moment. A new keeper is needed in the summer, Willis is so vulnerable from long range and every time the opposition lined up to shoot last night my heart was in my mouth.

Have to agree with oxo, brogan looks very assured at full back and comfertable with the ball at either foot

Not a chance, the man is an arrogant deluded clown. He left us in a absolute mess last season, over stepped the mark with the fans and even threatening  some in the process. How any one could accept him back is beyond on me, stop living in the past he was sacked for a reason.

How he never got the previous seasons squad promoted shows the ability of his tactical knowledge and managerial ability. Also theres a reason why he is still unemployed even though he has applied and failed to get numerous jobs since then.

The B-Ark / Re: Harrogate away
« on: August 11, 2016, 03:35:25 PM »
After couple of days of reflection having been to both games, I wasn't expecting much from the trip to Harrogate anyway. Dibble couldn't catch a cold every time the ball came into our box he either flapped, missed or dropped the ball. The defence is shaky and until we get Brown back it will remain this way as Price is definitely not the answer. I think a pairing of Roberts and Pepe Ngoma will provide a solid base in midfield and why Den took Roberts our best player for Colley was beyond me. As for Chippendale he looks way out of his depth and no wonder he was let go by BPA runs round like a headless chicken to no avail and his final ball is dreadful.. After watching Fairhurst in pre season he looked over weight and lazy but since the start of the season you can really tell the class and ability he has and looks a level above everyone else and once he regains his fitness he should be a great signing for the club. But as mentioned our wide play does look very promising and maybe with Smith up top and Fairhurst behind him it could make for a good forward pairing.

Anyway, cant wait for the trip to Darlo on Saturday to cheer on the boys!

The B-Ark / Agents in Non League
« on: December 17, 2015, 07:31:13 PM »
Just browsing through Twitter, looks like Southwell has found himself an agent and put together a show reel of his obvious talents. Is he preparing for life after Boston already, not that i can blame him aslong as he joins a team in the top half of the conference or higher.

See rumours on the echo with Lincoln come into there new found money that they've been swamped with calls, agents at this level should just not be necessary as its a one major downfall of the game. Hope we keep Southwell till at least the end of the season as we will still surely get a fee due to his age.

Having said the above, any criticism of the player on this forum is unfounded. I think we all know what Streete thought he heard, and if the comment had been correct then he would have been entirely justified in reacting the way he did. Racism is rare in football but there are pockets which do still need to be stamped out, and frankly well done to Floyd Streete for standing up and having the bottle to say his piece - even if he did misunderstand the voice in the crowd. He actually deserves some respect for making a stand and he's not a plonker or a tosser for doing so.

Are you for real? You want to praise an opposition player for falsely accusing our own fans of racial abuse when it's clear there was no such a action. What if said fan had been reprimanded by the authorities would streete still deserve respect? Fair enough there is no place for racism in football but soon enough you won't be able to shout your opinion at a game anymore

He wants to hurry up and get fit, yes Ravas made the penalty save and has got through a couple iof games riding high off confidence but after looking shaky Saturday he looked just as vulnerable like he did at the start of the season.

Leave the lad alone, he is improving with every game the truth is he gets little protection from some of those in front of him. Be glad to see Jones the center half back and fit as Zak is not performing well lately.

Agree with the Ravas comment oxo,  but I,m with OP on Mills , thought he was outstanding , more so when you read Craigs twitter.

Let's get one thing straight I am a Mills fan  nobody puts more effort into a game or gets about the pitch more and he is missed when out injured, but I don't think he is a central defender and if you look at the highlights of recent games he has left Ravas exposed a couple of times as have others and my post was in defense of our goalkeeper.

I am not putting all the blame on goals conceded on Ravas as the last few games the defence has been all over the shop and its just been a case of trying to outscore the opposition in some games but the fact of the matter is he isn't good enough what is required for a team challenging for promotion, yes hes a good shot stopper but the first goal comes wandering in to no mans land his decision making is awful he doesn't know whether hes coming or going. Personally I blame him a little for the second as he seem to bottle it and stop himself. Yes hes a young prospect with potential and when you're outfield you can get away with inconsistency but not in goal unless you have the confidence and ability a la Max and Dixon from Sunderland. I am sorry but he may of had a run of good games but hes lost us more points than he has won us this season and will continue to do so over the season.

Yes newsh is a legend for what he's done and achieved at the club but anyone who leaves for a nearest rival is still out of order and a judas.

i attended yesterday, first time for a while since oxford at home so i obviously wasn't expecting much. But that was one of the best away performances I've seen for a while, felix played well as I've always thought he was best coming on for half hour before but he terrorised there full back, jona held the ball up really well and moved it on when needed, as previously said garner played well may not be the best on the ball but he can win a header and a tackle and with dixon alongside him it works wells as he can make up for what garner lacks. Thought the defence looked solid and the keeper aswell as he came and collected everything late on when we was under pressure.
