only the 2nd game for me, even though we drew i thought we looked better than we did against Tamworth. Defense looked better organised and less passes went astray. We didnt fall apart like we have in other games once we went behind and we were more likely to get the winner than Kiddy.
Hopefully the players will take some real confidence from that game, thought the crowd were supportive and the players seemed to appreciated it. If we can get something on Monday we then have 2 winable home games, be positive people.

H    Staylybridge. = 3
  A    Harrogate = 1
  A    Darlington = 0
  H    Tamworth = 1
  A     Chorley = 3
  H     Kiddy H = 1

10 points, we always seem to start slowly.

individually good players, maybe??. As a unit they had the 15th worst record for conceding goals in the league so we probably shouldnt be too concernd. What we will miss is Mill's long throws and Pidges goals.

The bit that worries me more is who is going to score the goals when Dayle goes.

if anyone had seen all the Stamford fans comments when we signed him they all said the same.

could play at a higher level.
not a team player.
has an awful attitude.
good luck dealing with him.

looks like we are all thinking the same.

spoke to Dennis a few times over the last 3 years and seems a decent guy. Was critical of him early season as we hadnt got the keeper situation sorted or the midfield which I still feel struggles against the physical sides. We need to be able to win ugly when not playing well and while the style of play has been exciting we leak way too many goals. Hopefully Dennis can sort these issues before the season starts but even DN says that the playing budget isnt the biggest and next season some of the new teams will be spending big eg Salford.

So good luck Dennis, playoffs at least for next year please.

like a few on here I've waited a while until I put my views in writing.

If we take both game overall we were pretty much matched, we were brilliant Wednesday and Ferriby didnt get a look in it and yesterday it was a total role reversal.

The refs in both games were shockers, Wednesdays one should have sent Denton off after the first fore arm smash againt Pidge (didn't even speak to him), then the one against Nat Brown (didnt even speak to him), Scott garner, (didnt speak to him), 5 yard run smashing Roberts across the face, yellow card, it became laughable, he booked McEvoy for a shirt pull on the half way line but Ferribys number 8 sliced down Hilliard from the back when we were in an attacking position and didnt go for a card.
Yesterday the lino gave the penalty, bizarre. Not sure Speiss was fouled for the 2nd but the third after Denton had felled Brown leaving us no cover, head injury, allowed play to go on and goal. Oh and lets not forget Denton whacked Hilliard and only got a yellow. Dont want it to sound sour grapes but the refereres had a major impact on the game's.

On the other hand if we had played just ok yesterday we might have been looking to a trip to Fylde next Saturday. This team are either brilliant playing free flowing attacking football scoring hatfulls or we cant defend for toffee. We need some new personnel so we can win ugly, something Den's teams over the last 3 years just cant seem to do.

Dont like talking about total w***ers that think its big and clever to take on young kids but they need a trip to court. Whats so disappointing is that around 1,500 fans went and supported BUFC without any trouble and a few idiots give us all a bad name. If time travel was possible I would send them to Millwall in the 70's and 80's and see if they feel so clever and macho then.

the playoffs!

what a great advert for non league football, thought Nuneatons number 4 was real class and all their best moments went through him.

Nuneatons goal was a great header and our 2 were real quality, actually think our 2nd was the better goal as Jay was under real pressure from a defender and slightly going away from goal.

Thought Hilliard was fantastic and made more tackles in that game than ive seen him make all the time he has been at united and used the ball really well. We looked like the united of last season and hope we can make the playoff semi's and make it to the final.

Nat Brown and Pidge have built up a great partnership and Brown just seems to have more time to make clearances and interceptions than other defenders.

One final thing ------------ C'mon BPA

Nuneaton docked 6 points in February 2012 for playing an ineligible player twice.

Nuneaton docked 3 points in February 2015 for playing ineligible player.

Nuneaton docked 3 points in February 2016 for playing ineligible player.

Anyone see a pattern, should have been more than 3 points as its clearly not the first time and always in February, how strange.

Harrogate D D W = 73
Boston D W D = 69
Nuneaton D L W W = 68
Tamworth D W W = 66 - dont write them off yet

this is my heart saying this not my head, if Nuneaton win their point's appeal and dont lose the 3 points weve no chance.
