It’s not over until it’s over ( I don’t think you can say ‘until the fat lady sings’ anymore) and I hope we can avoid relegation.But……. If the unspeakable happens what league do we drop into?
Northern Premier League
Total distance to away games 2876 miles
Average 131 miles
18/22 over 100 miles
Three furthest - Lancaster City 183, South Shields 186, Morpeth 201
Southern Premier Central League
Total distance to away games 2075 miles
Average 94 miles
8/22 over 100 miles
Three furthest - Redditch 128, Bromsgrove 129, Stourbridge 139
SPC League 40% less travelling
Wider area of players to draw from?
Thoughts?
A supporter on this forum travels from Basingstoke every week. Real commitment.Thanks. Realistically it's every other week. I try to make most of the home games but have only managed the one away match so far this season (Bradford). It would be nice if we could play in the south occasionally!
I believe there are 2 Pilgrims who live in BasingstokeThree if I can convert my better half to the cause.
Re parking. I hope next season we can keep the space we have now. I have a cracking spot.Me too. Would happily keep mine for life.
Oxford City are this year's most northerly National League South club, and Gloucester is (slightly) further north.Braintree's slightly further north than both Gloucester and Oxford.
If we can't get the game on, neither club will get any prize money. Even the losers get 1500 quid or something. Would it be worth just playing the youth team if no first reamers can, play? Or would Gainsborough want that money to get the ground open, lights on etc.
