The B-Ark / Re: Would you welcome Dennis Greene back?

No much as I think he did a good job and wasn't sacked for football reasons the past should always stay in the past.

To be fair to Chapman he does actually sound like he gives a toss in the interview.  Needs to translate that into his and other players performances on the pitch now and yes in hindsight this thread was probably a bit misworded.

How is that vindictive?  It's a question and opinion on what he brings to the team.  You're welcome to reply with the positive things he does for them as this could help less knowledgeable people like me understand why he is the only outfield player not to miss 1 minute of play this season.

Doesn't run
Demotivates everyone in the team
Thinks he's a superstar
Nothing ever his fault
Can't think of any assists he has made
Hardly ever tackles
Never gets sent off as that would strengthen the team

Adam is a young manager learning his trade with a young team.  Needs to be given time good managers aren't made overnight, but he needs to toughen up and pick players on their performances now not 5 years ago.  Cannot fault the effort of some of the younger players, but they need leaders on the pitch to follow.  What has McGuire done wrong other than play the same position as Chapman.  Also would be nice to look at the teamsheet and think we are trying to win rather than avoid defeat.  Playing with 7 defensive minded players will win sod all.

4 - 1 down at halftime and no substitutions don't worry superstar Chapman will sort it.

We have some good players but play too defensive and pick players on past performances for other clubs.  Until this changes we will be fighting relegation whoever we sign.  I just hope AM realises this before it costs him his job as he seems like a good coach, but too loyal to people who are not showing him the same loyalty back.

How can you expect to win when you only pick 3 attacking players.
Cannot think of a worse manager in 25 years even Drury rubbish would beat this lot

Would have thought the money that needs to be made available is less than we will lose in reduced gates in an at best lower mid table team.

Hardest start we have had for years and at the weakest we have been for years.  Losing to Stalybridge was the one that hurt most as this should have been a home banker and would have made things look a little better.  Need 6 points in the next 2 home games.

Greene has earnt time if he still has the desire.  This team is poor and key players are very injury prone.  Would like to see Greene given more money to get some experience into the team as even if we change managers the new one will need money in wages to change the team around anyway.

Agree Greene has a good record, but every football manager has a shelf life just look at Mourinho at Chelsea and Pearson at Leicester.

Have always been a Greene fan even though I wish he would keep his mouth shut more.  He has signed 3 injury prone players who won't have come cheap as well as about 6 wingers.  Who is going to take these off the wage bill to get new players in?

Also in what other job can you get away with having a go at your loyal paying customers without getting the sack?  Once or twice can be accepted as heat of the moment, but before the game when you should be focusing on winning a football match is not acceptable.

As for Bazza always seems to have a lot of respect from other players/ managers and after 20plus years around this area and level he must have some contacts and no I can't think of any successful goalkeepers as managers either.
