Wow what a result, I was not expecting that.  Well done lads, it cements our place in the playoffs ( barring a disastrous run in.) Also well done to all those that went, I could hear you singing all the way back here.

3...0 I'm afraid 1321.  I have not predicted the correct score all season, let's hope I keep it up ;D

A good three points yesterday, and well done to Kelsey Mooney on your hat trick.  Perhaps Ken could tell me the last time a Boston player had two consecutive hat tricks.  Our defence held out, with a special mention to Brad Nicholson.  Also Bozzy ran and ran a true captain, he was my man of the match until Mooney got his third.

Good news with our two players ( Mills and Leek ) back in training tomorrow.  Even thou I've praised our defence, I think it will be a different kettle of fish against our Bogie side Chorley next week.  Yesterday you could see why Farsley have one of the worst goals total this season.

Anyway Well done lads still battling for that playoff spot.

A bit of a non event really.?
7 goals away from home, 2 hat tricks sometimes its good to give credit where credit is due to the players. well done lads onwards and upward.
(rant over)
A bit of a non event really. When they brought it back to within one goal I felt we were in no danger.  I thought they were poorer than Bishops Stortford.  We conceded three goals which was a shame, we have a cobbled back line which may be a problem on the run in.  We are hanging onto the last playoff place so still hope.  Tuesday again is a must win against a team we have mixed results against,
You didn't understand my point. I was there. As a match, as an event it was very poor. You can only beat what's in front of you. They did that with ease. You can't hide the fact we are conceding too many goals. We conceded three on Saturday to a very poor team. As I said we have had to cobble a defence together. No way in my comments did I call the team.

I'm a half a glass full kinda guy, but even I had resigned myself to a loss with over thirty minutes to play.  I know we are playing with a cobbled makeshift team, but we should have had nine points from the last three games.

Blyth: In my opinion poor substitutions cost us two points.

Buxton: They had one shot on target from open play, yet scored three goals. At the match I thought their forward handled before being fouled for the penalty.  After watching the replay, it confirmed what I saw. IC substitutions must also come into question. Missed chances also meant we got nothing from the match.

Spennymoor:  I thought( and so did all sat around me ) their player handled before scoring their second.  I looked at the replay this morning and I still think he did. That was not so clear cut as the rebound from the penalty.  The goal should have stood.

I am dissappointed with the last three results, like everyone else.  But I feel will did enough to win all three.  Those teams were no better than us. We had a bit of bad luck on occasions, post and bar hit several times.  I also think we will scrape into the playoffs, but could come down to the last game.

OT: I see Scunny have set a new league attendance record, beating York V Boston 2022 by just 23. They are claiming the record despite giving away 1500 tickets.

The B-Ark / Buxton

Thought we were very unlucky last night. On another night we would have been going in 3-1 up at half time.  Three stunning saves kept Buxton in the game.  Then an unlucky own goal and dodgy penalty( their player handled before being fouled ) sealed their win.

The injuries are mounting up again, I think we need a couple of loanees pronto.

Saturday I questioned ICs use of substitutions ( lost us two points I thought ). Last night was even more of a mystery, he took off a defender and put on another forward.  Our ageing defence was being ripped apart by their swift forwards.  Our three defenders was soon down to two, with Mills suffering an injury.

A quick word about the poor ball boy.  He looked distraught after making his mistake. Bless him.

Did we throw it away?

I thought the same.  Both goals came after substitutions.  I questioned the substitutions when they were made.  But hindsight is a good thing.  I would have took a draw before the game, but it feels like a loss now.
