I didn't think the officials were terrible yesterday. Not perfect - when are they ever perfect? - but at no point did I ever really feel they were so hopeless that they somehow denied us the win. That was down to us - and an extraordinary equaliser. I thought the female lino was very good and got most, if not all, her decisions spot on, which is all you can ask for really.

This.  The ref wasn't great and wasn't awful.  Yes he missed things but who doesn't?  It's not like the refs at any other level are perfect either.  Can't see as the balls being thrown on made much difference either.  I certainly can't see the officials being part of a big conspiracy against us.

We had three great chances away and we hit the post at 2-1, score any one of those chances and that worldy overhead kick is a consolation and nothing more.  We weren't able to put them to bed and it's cost us.  It's a shame but we'll just have to avoid the playoffs altogether and win the bloody thing outright next season.

a survey has appeared which suggested Linconshire folk are moaning buggers.

I've heard that quite a bit recently in several completely unrelated conversations.  Specifically it seems that Bostonians are the biggest bunch of introspective, apathetic, moaning old buggers out there.  So really you can't blame Spayne Road for being a shining example of the general population of Boston.

Best Home Game: Workington, when I realised we might do all right this season
Best Away Game: Again Workington because it was just insane.
Noisiest Away Team: Erm, noise? What's that?
Player of the Season: Jelleyman
Unsung Hero: Cullingworth Same as above
Favourite Chant: The wheels on your house go round and round...
Best Atmosphere: Corby Away
Funniest Moment: Walking past the Alfreton fans pub singing Boston songs, only to realise we'd walked down the wrong road and having to come all the way back.
Favourite Away Ground: Redditch, they put on free food and their fans were class.
Worst Away Ground: Guiseley, what a dump!
Best Beer: In Belper, pre-season.
Ground look forward to visiting next year: Halifax for the atmosphere, Colwyn Bay for the weekend.
Any Opposition player you would like to sign:
Best Away Ground: Telford by a mile.
Hopes for 2011/2012: Play-offs, hopefully to the final this season!

Pretty sure I pointed out that the main issue was the inconvenience of finding players.  I'm not sure that it will necessarily send the club bust; it wouldn't be the first time a club has had to build a squad in no time and yet still got a respectable mid-table finish...

I agree it's daft in general, but then when has football ever not been?

As this wonderful article from 200% points out, Bishops Stortford would actually travel less than Gloucester do and considerably less than Workington and Blyth already do in this league.

Yes the late notice is inconvenient but the mileage thing shouldn't be a factor.

Don't know why anybody takes any notice of Cully. He's obviously very bitter at the club for releasing him however much he dresses it up as banter.

The tournament is definitely happening and with Sleath playing for Loughborough Uni he could easily have been selected.

As for the Eastwood thing... LOL!  Cully isn't bitter he's just winding up gullible people and getting a rise.  I'm just surprised how successful he has been.

There are rumours circulating on Twitter that Connell missed the penalty on purpose to p!ss Rob Scott off, after he had slagged the players off in Grimsby Telegraph.

Oh, how I'd love that to be true!

So should we not make it, good luck in the play offs as I know for sure you will make it.

Thanks Boselecta.
