The B-Ark / Bazza Interview
« on: December 10, 2012, 01:33:30 PM »
Here's an interview with Bazza from this week's local paper where he talks about this probably being his last season as a player. Enjoy.

It's been reported that one of your former reserves, Tom Dodds, is going to be training with us pre-season. Anyone know what his strengths/weaknesses are?

For those of you who used to post on NLZ, please see the link below and vote.

It looks like they are considering setting up Conference Premier/North/South forums on NLZ and would like to know if you would use it.

It's been announced today that he is joining us on loan from Corby until the end of the season.

I know he scored a few for Stamford, what was he like when he played for you?

Well he didn't last long! Released yesterday, I believe he has gone back to Stamford.

However, he will always be remembered by Tigers fans for scoring the winner against Frickley on Boxing Day, deep into injury time with virtually the last kick off the game (go to the end of the highlights to see it)

PS Massiah Macdonald, who you were interested in, has signed a contract with us until the end of next season after several clubs put 7 days notice in on him

Here are the highlights of our 9 goal thriller against Mickleover, the winner coming deep into injury time. Excellent value for money as it was free entry! The Chairman donated £1 to charity for every spectator at the game.

If you do not wish to watch all the highlights check out Woody's strike just past 11 minutes into the highlights!

Ps I'm waiting for the highlights of our Boxing Day game against Frickley as there is something in those that may be of interest/surprise you!  ;)

The B-Ark / FREE football on Wednesday evening
« on: November 27, 2011, 10:26:53 PM »
I hope you don't mind me posting this on here, but I hope some Boston fans who live not that far from Worksop may be able to join us for this event.

It is FREE ADMISSION for the Worksop Town v Mickleover Sports game on Wednesday 30th November

Worksop Town will Donate £1.00 per supporter to the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity

There shall also be a bucket collection during the game by a representative from Macmillan Cancer Support

I hope some of you who are looking for a game that evening can join us. We are hoping for a bumper crowd so that we can raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile charity.

The bigger the crowd the deeper our Chairman shall have to dig into his pockets  ;)

If you can join us, wear your colours if you wish to show your clubs support for the charity.

Thank you

DD has been released by WTFC. Just did not work out for him. He suffered an injury pre-season, then when he was fit he didn't really make the most of the few opportunities he had when they arose.

For those of you that are interested, DD scored his first goal for us last week in our FA Trophy Replay win against BPA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWQcsH3JQDU

The goal is about 12 minutes into the video. OK, some may say he was a little fortunate as there may have been a "little" push and a "hint" of offside about it, but we'll take it! It's a goal some of us thought we would never see scored!! Don't worry we gave the ref and the linesman their guide dogs back at the end of the game  ;)

The B-Ark / Retford United to NECL?
« on: May 10, 2011, 01:17:46 PM »
Following their relegation from the Evostik Premier Division Retford United are looking to join the Northern Counties East League rather than the Evostik Division 1 South.

It looks like they cannot afford to stay in the Evostik without the monies our groundshare brought in for them.

Mikel had arguably his best game so far us on Saturday, scoring twice. He has been injured so hasn't played that much, in fact Saturday was the first time he has played 90 minutes. That might have been down to the fact that we are down to the bare bones though! Only able to name two subs, the U19 keeper and our 40 year old manager!

Woody missed his first match of the season on Saturday, starting a two match ban.

I'll post a link to a video of Mikel's goals once they appear on our website for those that are interested.

Woody scored his first goal for the Tigers last week, the opener in our 3-2 win at Ossett

He continues to play well for us, supporters are talking about him possibly being our player of the season. He is certainly one of the leading contenders.

The B-Ark / Bad news for the Tigers!
« on: February 22, 2011, 03:28:57 PM »
Some of you asked me to keep you informed on our ground situation. Well it's not good news! The appeal against the rejection of planning permission for a major development creating 1000 jobs and including land for our proposed new stadium has been heard and it upheld the original decision.

http://www.worksopguardian.co.uk/news/local-news/vesuvius_decision_now_in_1_3103386

Bit of a sickener for us!!

Ps Good luck tonight!
