The B-Ark / Highs and lows
« on: September 05, 2022, 01:18:58 PM »
In my 82 years i have seen massive highs and lows, from playing Tottenham in the FA cup to playing in the Boston and district league, the football league and now the National North league. Money plays a big part in success and failure, i remember fans shouting at Mr Malkinson in the director's box " get your check book out Malkie" after putting loads of money into the club over the years.  Now thanks to the Chairman we have got 3/4 of a stadium to be proud of but it is not finished yet and with spiralling costs, the chairman must be thinking about the cost of finish it off as well as the playing budget.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    He must have given the manager a budget to work with, which must have been accepted or he would not have taken the job. I wasn't sure if Paul Cox was the best choice but i was prepared to give him the support he needed. Do we get rid now or do we hope he can turn it around, that is the Question, if we get rid it will be another cost that we could do without, possibly taking funds from going towards finishing the stadium.                                               I am sure the chairman has pondered over this decision already and i for one will stand by him to make the right choice, when we get the stadium finished it will bring in more income to hopefully help to finance a better budget for the manager but that will not guarantee a winning formular.

The B-Ark / Watering pitch
« on: April 25, 2022, 11:56:21 AM »
Does watering the pitch help or hinder? Luke Shiels slipped and Tom Platt had to make a last-ditch tackle when he got injured. Players from both sides were slipping and sliding.

The B-Ark / Dave Cusack
« on: December 10, 2018, 04:23:24 PM »
In the Sun newspaper today, Dave Cusack talks about his neurocognitive brain disorder, possibly caused by elbows to the head. He said in his day centre forwards were told to elbow defenders even in training.
