Boston United form in last 8 games W1 D1 L6 which is the worst in National North.

72 points has got teams in the playoffs for the last few years, but 70 might do it this year. As we have a poor goal difference we are going to need at least 71 so last 6 form needs to be W - W - W - D - W - W.

So win 5 games and get a draw at Harrogate and it means the play offs, easy!

The B-Ark / season ahead
« on: August 04, 2015, 01:15:05 PM »
is it just me but i i dont feel a great swell of excitement for the coming season around the streets of Boston. Is it still a hangover from the hurt of that fricking overhead kick that 99 times out of 100 would have landed on John Blackwells car or smacked pilgrim radios commentator smack in the chops. I was hoping for a couple of stella signings (well for our level) just to prove we really meant business this year, sure the lads signed up will develop into good players but i thought we might have seen some proven players at this level just to see us into the playoffs again. Think the squad is very light, any injuries to key players and Im afraid we may struggle. Have the impression the league will be tougher than last year and the playoffs may be a challenge too far.

Hope Im wrong and will be encouraging and supporting the lads as I have for the last 40 years, come on united.

The B-Ark / Vanarama awards and Team of the season
« on: June 08, 2015, 08:06:21 AM »
well done to Dayle and Pidge for being selected for the team of the season. Votes are from the managers of the league, 2nd season running for Pidge.

Also well done to UITC for their recognition and award for the activity programmes they do and finally Craig as BUFC's programme won best in the league.

well done again to all involved at BUFC, becoming a club to be proud of again.

The B-Ark / The Squad
« on: May 05, 2015, 09:31:06 AM »
the pain is starting to subside a little so thoughts are now starting to move to next season.  Looking at the squad list I see it as:-

Keeper's - Vince

Defenders - Pidge, Marrs, Mills, Price, Steer

Midfielders - Garner, Felix, Hall, Hollingsworth, McGee, Roberts, Sheriden, Walker

Strikers - Jones, Southwell, Newsham, Saebe

anyone else know whos contracted for next season and for those who aren't who should we be offering terms to?

The B-Ark / next 10 games
« on: November 16, 2014, 08:25:27 PM »
just had a look at our fixture list and note that 7 of our next 10 games are away from home with tough trips to Fylde, Barrow, NFU and Harrogate in them. I know we will only have played 27 of 42 after that but if we are still around the playoffs id be confident of a playoff position come the end of April.
The 3 home games, Brackley, Lowestoft and Colwyn need to be won, feeling a bit happier after the last 3 games.
