The B-Ark / York (A)- an appeal
« on: March 16, 2022, 07:32:37 PM »
If any United fans are going back to somewhere near the west Midlands (or even manchester) and has a spare seat for the return leg after the game and would be prepared to offer a lift please get in touch. I'm looking at possibly stating over in Sheffield or Manchester at the moment as it's only as far back as I can get. Keen to do yorks ground as we may not get another chance if they go up.
Thanks
Josh

The B-Ark / Hereford A- No cash turnstiles
« on: August 21, 2019, 09:55:13 PM »
Just a reminder for those intending to go to Hereford next Saturday they don't have cash turnstiles
Tickets are available at their ticket office on the day but expect queues and it is the opposite end of the ground to our end
Or you can get them online

Just don't do what me and a few others did last year and miss kickoff!

Anyone else going?
Or have 3 defeats put you off 😤

Suspect the Grimsby lads will get a go. Hopefully Craig doesn't pay them respect and change it.... Play to our strengths
About time we started producing in the other box
Time to get back in the wins, you have to see our next few games as very much there for the taking although said sides will think likewise of us

Many on here going to this one?
Seem to be towards that part of the world every saturday in this early part of the season!
Bit of a mixed bag for me going there, the 1-7, a 0-0 and the 1-0 win when we were both pish, though generally we've not got a good record there.

They've scored about the most but got the joint worst defensive record. Might be a slight blessing that Jackson can play tomorrow although I can see us extending Lees' loan for another month if needed for the last of those 3 games he's banned for.

Fingers crossed we see further signs of the team coming together, probably our most difficult game thus far (not sure how they lost at home to FCUM though!), I'd keep it unchanged but hopefully the scrappy lumping it forwards like we had until we scored v Nuneaton, we can show a bit more composure on the ball as we've created plenty of chances in the last 2 games once we've played it about.

Bookies have bit about 50/50, I'd probably go score draw but let's pinch a win and build on this promising start

The B-Ark / Kidderminster away
« on: April 13, 2017, 09:27:47 AM »
Looks like it may be a closer game than it would've been a month ago. Kiddy have all but had to settle for second behind fylde but still need to secure second. Our team seem to have a plan now and we're not conceding like before.
Still a tough task against one of the best home records going but a good test for our team to see how far off we are for next season

The B-Ark / Alfreton (A)

Anyone else going?

Another chance to back up a solid result on the road, where results have tended to come in recent weeks with only an unlucky defeat at Tamworth since the debacles at Fylde and Witton.

Alfreton have an unlucky knack against us of losing by a single goal in about the last 5 meetings, hopefully that carries on tomorrow.
Assume we'll go for the same team as Saturday- there didn't seem to be any injuries for once.

The B-Ark / IF we pull off a shock tomorrow...
« on: November 28, 2016, 10:00:36 PM »
chester fc at home.
They were crap as soon as they got into the conference but I think they've picked up this year.
Depends how seriously they'd take it. Doubt we'd be able to pull it off
Hardly a money spinner as it's still likely to be a sub 1000 gate.

The B-Ark / Bradford City (A) Youth Cup
« on: November 07, 2016, 10:29:51 PM »
Is there any travel on for this game?
I know a couple from BUSA were muting over whether they could drum up enough interest for this one. Surely the families of the players would want to go (unless the club has sorted them out) but they reckon 20 or so are keen to go.

Would it not be sensible to post details on here too seeing as people may not have facebook?

As for myself, I'm hoping to get a train to Manchester after the game and then a bus back to Brum but surely there seems to be some interest to perhaps run a small bus, plus a few locals keen to go

The B-Ark / Fylde away tickets - [IF ATTENDING PLEASE READ!]
« on: October 19, 2016, 10:04:25 PM »
http://tickets.afcfylde.co.uk/default.aspx

Can we pin this Ken?

NO cash turnstiles at Fylde's new ground.
Because of large amounts of bandwagon fans the matchday queues for tickets are very bad according to fans who have been. Avoid the queues and get tickets printed off at home or delivered (+£1 for delivery). You can also use the conformation email on your phone to scan at the turnstiles.

Much of a faff- because paying cash at a 6th division game is simply too mainstream....
May well be the only chance we ever get to tick this ground off......

The B-Ark / Kettering (A)
« on: September 28, 2016, 10:53:34 PM »
Hopefully a few are up for this one. A little while since we played them and even the last meeting was when they were on the brink of going bust.
Their ground isn't in Kettering anymore, but Latimer Park, about 3 or 4 miles south of the town.
A done up UCL sort of venue and no segregation as yet has been mentioned. They've got one of the worst home records but one of the best away records. Bookies seem to agree with a few of us who think it'll be quite an even match, but I'd like to think we've got enough to progress- need as much money as we can to try and propel us up the table & maintain interest.

Got a little run going. Would be good to go into that tough run of fixtures on a 6 or 7 game unbeaten record and hopefully if we progress, a nice tie in Q4. Not made it that far since 2012/3 when the league season was a write-off

The B-Ark / Altrincham (A)
« on: September 23, 2016, 06:12:52 PM »
Anyone else off to this one. A few years since we played there on a Saturday. I was ill for that and missed a 6-1 reverse.... only to go the following year on a Tuesday and see us lose 7-1!!!!
Last time there we got a 0-0 and probably should've won, they've had an even worse start than us (not won a league game yet....) but beat Grimity in the cup last week. Also had a 5 figure sum from Sunderland for Duncan Watmore's appearance bonus which was part of the transfer deal, which should help them to climb to safety.

Expecting goals as usual, hopefully Damien Reeves doesn't find form after a quiet start, the dizzy heights of 12th could beckon with a win!!!!

Should be in around midday on the rattler. Not sure where we'll go beforehand.
Forza Boston

The B-Ark / Youths progress in the cup
« on: September 21, 2016, 10:00:15 PM »
So the Youth side beat Leicester Nirvana 1-0 at home to progress to the 2ns qualy round. This is where Conference clubs come in. 2 wins away from a possible League 1/2 side. Draw is on Friday

Anyone else going? Probably on a train due in 12:30 ish, perhaps going to try out the Crown Inn, just north of the station

Wasn't at the BPA home game but clearly we need a fair improvement from Saturday's home defeat. We've had a terrible run away from home, Gloucester being particularly annoying as I'd say they're the only side we've had away who will likely not be in the top 6 or 8 and we fell apart (again) 2nd half.

They're hit and miss, inconsistent, I see the odds for us have come in from 4/1 to 7/2 after they lost last night at Darlington (blew a host of chances before losing 2-1). Wonder if the extra day will give us any benefits after their 250 mile round trip on Wednesday?
