A superb 7 - 0 win at Harrowby saw the lads take the title, Gregg netted three of them. Brilliant team performance from kick off to the final whistle and they thoroughly deserve to be Champions with the run of form they were in.

All we need now is the 1st team to clinch a playoff place :)

The B-Ark / Who Was It .....

So,a few weeks back someone on here posted about Tinpots battle last year when they dropped GW to the bench and went on a winning run thus staying up.

Lightning strikes twice it would seem, so which poster posted it??

The B-Ark / Today V Tamworth

Thought the keeper did well for his first game, came and collected when needed, blocked when with his chest after it bounced at him (surprising when you think how much water the pitch has had recently) and can kick with either foot. No blame on him for their goal, he shouted for the back pass but, for reasons only hare will know, Hare turned back into trouble and lost out to two players. Always play the way you are facing was what I was told as a defender but guess some of it may be down to lack of game time.

First half we lost every second ball, second half we were more competitive and won the majority of them and used the wings more. The penalty was a stonewaller, defender missed with his right so took Reece out with his left catching him about halfway between ankle and knee.

There is a real belief amongst the players now and a togetherness, think AM put too much pressure on them with too many instructions whereas CE just gives simple instructions, ball (A) goes into goal (B) easy ain't it :D

Thought the Town End took a while to get behind the team but once they did the team responded well. 16 from 18 is title winning form and now we are 7 points off the playoffs who knows what will happen between now and April.

All in all a deserved win and onwards and upwards :)

The B-Ark / Tonight
« on: October 31, 2017, 11:39:47 AM »
So, which BUFC are turning up tonight? The one who let 2 goals in before playing and let the manager down (and force him to resign) or will it be the team we know they CAN be? Either way, we need a response, we need a fight, we need commitment and we need the crowd behind them. Last week is history, this week is the beginning of our future. Whatever happens, I will be there supporting my club. As fans the players need us so they perform, the players need to perform to get the crowd going. A performance like the 2nd half Saturday is needed from us all but we need to do that from the first whistle. We can accept defeat IF the team has given everything it is just when they lay down and surrender that gets fans moaning.
You cannot enjoy the sweet taste of success without first sampling the bitterness of defeat.

The B-Ark / Question
« on: October 19, 2017, 11:51:29 AM »
Can anyone here shed any light on a decision the referee made on Tuesday because so far no one has an answer.

Their number 8 elbowed Brad at a set piece, Brad goes down and the ref calls number 8 to him. He gives player a telling off, now here is the question

By calling the player to him he obviously saw what happened so, why no card?? Just a chat.  Also, number 8 did three fouls later and got no card yet one was similar to the challenge that saw a yellow brandished to Maguire.

Not blaming the ref for our defeat, just cannot work out if he saw the incident why was no card shown?

The B-Ark / Anyone Not Cup Tied Please Apply
« on: October 18, 2017, 09:45:30 PM »
Anyone else see the tweet from Chorley asking for a GK and Midfielder for the Fleetwood cup tie? All that money and not enough players? Suppose the Fleetwood loanees will not be allowed to play against them, anyone heard why they are looking?

The B-Ark / RIP
« on: March 03, 2017, 04:59:22 PM »
RIP Steve Adams, 57 is way too young to be taken.

Remember his runs down the wing. He once stopped my mate at a theme park (mate was wearing a BUFC shirt) and chatted to him like he was an old mate, not many would do that these days.
