The B-Ark / Leamington Trip - TRAFFIC
« on: November 15, 2014, 09:05:21 PM »
I live in Rugby and if you're driving your going to hit road works no matter what. I'd leave plenty of time no matter which way you go. The last time I used the A14-M1 cross over, there were significant delays. Tollbar End in Coventry (where A46 meets the A45) will cost you anything from 10 mins to an hour depending on the direction of the wind and the current state of it's re-design. That said if you have a play with the route planner on google maps it's hard to come up with a route that isn't all side roads or road works.

I'd probably go this way if I was coming from Boston, but then again I like country roads.

As the grounds in the middle of no where I'd recommend going into Leamington or Warwick for something to eat.

« on: May 21, 2010, 04:57:25 PM »
Just realized this might sound like I was volunteering. Anyone know a good free site where we can setup a league?

P.S. Anyone else seen this http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/oddballs/826773-mathematical-world-cup-predictions-say-england-or-brazil-will-win-in-2010

The B-Ark / Chester wound up
« on: March 10, 2010, 01:14:14 PM »
I'm glad we have a golden chestnut.

It did occur to me that this leaves a gap in the league structure. Presumably extra teams are promoted to fill these gaps but who decides.

The B-Ark / There's life in the title race yet
« on: March 10, 2010, 09:38:21 AM »
Well maybe, BPA can only throw it away. although much depends on how Guisely perform in March. Fingers crossed they'll draw and drop other poitns elsewhere.

I see Ashton have release a statement with regards to court proceedings Can someone tell me what the league would look like if only Boston and Durham finish the season. Also would we qualify for the champions league if the 158 or so clubs above us fold? Or would we simply be promoted 3 divisions as everyone else drops the required 3 divisions to reform a club. Hey we're back in the league wooo. I think I went too far.

The B-Ark / Will we finish 6th?
« on: January 14, 2010, 05:29:43 PM »
A little bored with the lack of football, so I thought I'd pose the question...

With just 16 games to go we're sixth on a points per game basis. Just outside the play offs, is that where we'll finish?  :'(

The B-Ark / Head hung in shame - facebook question
« on: August 04, 2009, 12:11:37 PM »
Well no one is talking about anything else.

I've just joined facebook and thought I would do the usual of racking up large numbers of friends. Well it turns out no one likes me  :o or I'm not putting enough effort in. So...

1. Which Boston United group should I join. I'm not sure how many there are but two of them have over 300 members.
2. I keep getting instant messages from friends which pop up, I write a response and it says they're no longer on line. What's going on. What application are they using in facebook and why can't they just send a message. Oh I'm ranting know. I should join the I hate facebook instant messenger group.

No wait one of them says I can join a group the other says I can become a fan, whatever than means. I'll join both.

The B-Ark / Off topic - Broadband in Boston
« on: June 23, 2009, 02:14:13 PM »
I'm cheap but my old man is even cheaper so I offered to pay for a broadband connection. Is there a cheap broadband provider in Boston that does not require O2 phone, Orange phone, Sky TV etc? I did a little hunting and found that TalkTalk have LLU'd the Boston exchange but care unable to take on customers at LLU prices.

I'm trying to find a package including line rental, broadband, evening and weekend calls for TalkTalk type prices about £17.
