The B-Ark / The Jonny Urwin show
« on: December 28, 2019, 08:48:48 PM »
I paid good money today to see this dummy take centre stage.  He did his hardest to spoil a good hard fought derby. He books our player for not taking the shortest route when substituted.  He then lets their player do exactly the same 10 minutes later without booking him. I don't think he was bias, just inept.  Anyway a good hard earned three points, with results going our way the Lynn game was not that bad.

The B-Ark / I hope it p****s it down.

With half the team injured, and such a tough game yesterday.  Would it be to our advantage if tomorrows match was called off?  Kettering did not have a match yesterday  and we played 74 minutes with 10 men in testing conditions.  Get the sprinklers on ;D ;D ;D

The B-Ark / I am banned after Rochdale match.
« on: December 20, 2019, 10:46:30 AM »
I am banned from betting on Bet365.

I received an email stating " After careful consideration, our trading department have decided to restrict your betting account" I won £110 on the Boston Rochdale result.

After looking back on my account I am showing a profit of £362 on my last six months of betting.  I tried to back a horse yesterday and they would let me have 64p on a 2/1 shot, meaning they had a liability of £1.28.

The MD and founder of Bet365 Denise Coates, paid herself a bonus of £217 million last year.  They only want mug punters.  Well this mug will have to bet somewhere else ;)

The B-Ark / Kings Lynn tickets
« on: December 19, 2019, 11:08:28 AM »
I have read somewhere that you have to buy tickets in advance.  I have gone onto the website but cannot find any way of buying them online.  Has anyone got a link please, or can I buy tickets on the day, thanks.

The B-Ark / Just a little moan about last night
« on: December 17, 2019, 08:04:12 AM »
I know when a match is televised, major firms pay for advertising.  But last night I noticed advertising boards placed in front of, and blocking loyal and regular supporting firms of Boston United. If I was one of these firms I would be a little miffed.

The B-Ark / Well done lads

We gave them two goals, very hard to get anything when that happens. But to a man they gave everything. A very proud supporter tonight.  I shall dream of what could have been. Well done lads.

Just for fun, what is your prediction of how many we will take to Rochdale.   I'll say 765.

The B-Ark / Lucky scarf?
« on: November 28, 2019, 04:32:15 PM »
Many years ago 1969 to be precise, I had a girlfriend.  She was a regular supporter of Lincoln City. I did not hold that against her, or did she me for being a Boston supporter. As a surprise she knitted me an eight foot long Black and amber scarf for Christmas. I met her a couple of years ago and mentioned the scarf, she denied knitting it, perhaps something to do with her now being a Lincoln season ticket holder.

I shall be bringing it out for a rare outing on Sunday.  The amber is a bit faded and the scarf is a little out of shape, due to some Kettering fan deciding that it would be fun to try and strangle me with it.

It's been to some very memorable games over the 50 years.  Also some I would like to forget. It has been worn according to fashion of the time, around the head, neck, wrist and even the waist.

So, this Sunday I shall be wearing it ( to keep warm ) and may it be lucky.

The B-Ark / New signings?
« on: November 21, 2019, 10:43:27 AM »
With Duhaney and Woolford out for the Rochdale game, do you think CE will bring in a player or two?  With the chance of a big name team and big money in the next round, it may pay him to bring in some experience.  What do you think?

The B-Ark / Old songs and chants
« on: November 05, 2019, 01:18:56 PM »
With the Fa cup just around the corner, I got to remembering the great cup runs and games we had in the 60's and 70's.

I also got to thinking of the songs and chants we used to sing.

With the problems of fighting and tribal confrontation of that era, a lot of the songs/chants were aimed at insulting the opposing fans.

One I seem to remember started like this " Like a knock kneed chicken and a cross eyed hen.  We hav'nt lost a fight since I don't know when"  I cannot for the life of me remember the rest.  Does anyone remember this chant?

Can anyone remember other songs or chants?  In this PC world we now live in, please be careful in what you post.
