Really?

Was that really necessary?

No matter how repugnant it was to lose that included a few time-wasters, there should never be any excuse for spitting at someone.

Vile. Truly vile.

Now that he's dead, who are we going to sell arms to? Gaddafi? Mugabe?

But seriously... the Yankee Doodles have shot him. You have to wonder what they were aiming for though, right?

At least we know now that if you want to hide from Allied forces as a marked terrorist, all you need is MASSIVE MANSION yards from an international intelligence building.

Given that it hasn't been mentioned yet, I'd like to congratulate the England team on humiliating the Aussies in their own back yard.

Happy times.

Who stayed up for it?

The B-Ark / Say goodbye to first rate education....

...and hello Lincoln University.

Thought the new series of The Inbetweeners is seriously unfunny compared to the first two (too many recycled jokes and tired scenarios), but that line must have made a good few Lincolnites cringe.

Huzzah!

The B-Ark / One minute silence on Saturday?
« on: September 08, 2010, 09:29:58 PM »
Saturday will see the 9th anniversary of the tragedy that happened in New York in 2001.

Will the club be having a one minutes' silence before kick off?

The B-Ark / The standard of refereeing.
« on: August 30, 2010, 06:48:24 PM »
OK, I realise that you are allocated referees according to the level and standard of football you are playing in. I realise that this means at this tier of football, it means we will not see perfectly accurate decisions made by the officials.

But this is way past a joke. Everyone in the ground saw the tackle on the halfway line near Spayne Road. Everyone knew it was a yellow card. Did the linesman bottle the decision or was the referee too weak to administer some justice?

Furthermore, how come it's ok for the Nuneaton keeper to make a sandwich and wash his cucumber before taking a goal kick, whereas today, the referee damn near started crying and soiling himself when our keeper didn't get the ball to the 6 yard line within .05 seconds of it going out for a goal kick?

These are just 2 of several appalling decisions today. The linesman on the Spayne Road side even shrugged his shoulders and made a "dunno" gesture when the referee and he didn't agree on a call.

The inconsistency in official at this level of football is shocking. Poor decisions, officials having problems keeping up with play - are they unfit? - and shocking rule administration.

I thought officals all read from the same rule book?

Terrible. Truly terrible.

and all this after a game we WON!

Rant over, you can stop flinching now.  ;)   :-*

The B-Ark / Multi Sport Professionals.
« on: June 21, 2010, 05:40:58 PM »
We were discussing sportsmen and women the other night and came across thew topic of those that have excelled at sports - in the modern age - other than the one they are known for.

Ian Botham sprang to mind. He played professionally for Scunny, didn't he?

Isn't Gary Neville in the second XI at Lancashire or something?

Anyone else have any names?
