The B-Ark / Boston United 2014 Calendar

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anybody would like to see a Boston United 2014 calendar? I have been looking at making one for the past few years but want to make a go of it this year.

I would like your input as to what you would like to see. From my brief research I believe that making a desk calendar would be the most cost effective method for this and I was thinking more along the lines of some of the "highlights" from the past few seasons as the photos for the calendar. Wouldn't be a good idea (imo) to just use this seasons players due to the high turnover of players at this level.

If I get enough input then I would certainly look at making a go of this idea!

The B-Ark / Pre Season - Photographs

Are we all excited for Pre-Season?

I will be updating this thread over the coming weeks with photographs from the Pre-Season games so keep an eye out over the coming weeks.

I will also be at pre season training again tomorrow so I will put a few photos from up again - Who knows there might be a game of "guess the player" 

Hard to think this will be my fourth full season with the club....

The B-Ark / Photographs - Gainsborough vs Boston

Well that was a great game yesterday. Gotta love the local derbies! Goals, Fans in great voice and Ex players galore.

Here are a few highlights from the game.

1. Ben Milnes fires Boston into a 1 - 0 lead.

4. Danny Hone fires past Dan Haystead to make the game 1 - 1

5. Back to haunt Boston - Jamie Yates celebrates his goal.

Safe to say this game went a but better than the game at Altrincham for me as I lost the memory card with all the photos on! Probably not a bad thing though given the score!

The B-Ark / Sponsorship for Macmillan - BUPA 10k London 2012

Hellp all

Some of you may know me as that annoying photographer who spams these forums with his photos! (sorry!).

Anyway, I am entering the Bupa 10k London 2012 Run in support of Macmillan Cancer - a cause that is close to my heart after my Grandma Sweet (Shirley) passed away on 11th August 2011 - Macmillan were there for my Grandma during her last days and made them alot more comfortable. They also made things alot easier for the family as a whole. Before my Grandma died, me and my sister (Vicky) told her that we would raise money in support of them as she spoke highly of Macmillan - and this is our way of doing it.

Now 10K might not sound alot - but when you can barely run from one end of the room to the other you know its going to be a struggle - suffice to say I will be doing alot of training come the new year! Will be my first ever sponsored run so I intend and make a real go of it and achieve the best time I possibly can - As well as achiving my ultimate goal of raising lots of money for the fantastic people at Macmillan.

Please give what you can to this fantastic cause and help me reach my £300.00 target. Like I say this cause is close to my heart so every donation will be appreciated.

The B-Ark / 2012 BUFC Calendar - Input

Evening everybody,

What are your thoughts on putting together a 2012 BUFC calendar for fans and players to purchase and put a little bit of money back into the club. I have been looking around and have sent off for some samples whereby 10% of the cost goes to a chosen charity - would be a good thing - any thoughts on a charity?

Anyway, I am after your input into what sort of layout you would prefer, and how to set out the months e.g. players for each month or just action highlights each month? Also if anybody has any graphic design skills then that would be great!

So another season draws to a close - and what a way to end it, going down fighting like we did was a joy to watch - even if the outcome wasn't what we wanted.

The B-Ark / New temporary/permanent home for BUFC photographs

Hi guys,

Just to let you know that you will now be able to find photographs from Boston's remaining games at:-

There are a few sets to go up over the next few days - Hyde, Stamford and Blyth - so I will keep you posted on the progress of these. I do however want to give the remaining games alot of coverage so expect to see a flurry of updates!

I have decided to link this into my own domain (which is now up and running!) until the end of the season as I feel that this is the best solution to my gallery problem. I have been looking for an alternative to my fotopic galleries. The situation with regards to them is that they have now been bought so them images should be available again in the near future If it become viable to return to use fotopic again in the future, then that is what I will do but until the end of the season all photos will be on the above link. This has cost a bit of time and money to set up but it is important for me that the photos are out there for you all to view.

The B-Ark / Buying Photographs - Your opinions please

Good afternoon

I have had a few people recently enquiring about purchasing prints of some of my photographs. I have also spoken to DN briefly about some of my photographs - which is encouraging.

Anyway, I would like to know what your thoughts would be if I could sort something out whereby photographs are purchased through a system hosted by the club. Now I wouldn't want to limit this to just my photos, as Tim Hoff is always at the home games so it would be ideal to include his as well.

Do you think this is a good idea and would you support it if a sizeable cut of the profits go to the club and the Save the Pilgrims fund? If there is enough interest in the idea then I will talk to the club and see if it would be possible.

Good evening,

It appears that my host for my photos has gone bust (fotopic.net) so I am unable to put the photos up in the normal place for you. I am currently looking for an alternative, but unfortunatly I paid up front for the service and do not have any more money in my budget for alternative hosting at this point in time. I will temporarily be putting my photos up a a Flickr site until I can sort a better replacement out.
