The B-Ark / Two points lost?
« on: August 25, 2014, 04:52:47 PM »
Given that Tamworth scored late on after an error by Gledhill, is it a case of two points lost or is a draw more than you expected to get from one of the CN's money men?

Before the game I would have taken a point, but after following the game on Twitter I can't help but feel that the lads have been mugged.

The B-Ark / Lee Beeson....

... has signed for Corby. He's done very well at Stamford so deserves a second chance at a higher level but I hope he doesn't come back to haunt us.

Alty have appointed Lee Sinnott as manager.  Will he be as successful as he was at Farsley or will he last as long as he did at BPA?

The B-Ark / Ball boys
« on: April 03, 2011, 06:21:08 PM »
A few weeks ago he had ball boys at one of our games yet yesterday there weren't any. Why don't we have any at all of our games?

I'm sure there are plenty of kids who would love the chance to have a pitch side view of the game and it wouldn't cost the club anything.

Plus, as all the visiting teams seem to employ time wasting tactics, not having any ball boys means the goalies can waste even more time by strolling to the pitch side to get the balls, the refs never tell them to get a move on.

The B-Ark / Evans at it again?
« on: September 13, 2010, 12:39:21 PM »
Crawley have been accused by Billericay manager Craig Edwards of making an illegal appoach for their goalkeeper Ashlee Jones - who has since been sacked by Billericay.  Evans has tried to brush it under the carpet by claiming that Billericay are maybe just trying to get some publicity.  Considering Edwards is a former boxer I, for one, wouldn't want to upset him.

Edwards told the NLP "Whoever said money cannot buy you manners or class has hit the nail on the head."  That's certainly true where Evans is concerned.

The B-Ark / St. Albans
« on: September 12, 2010, 07:09:00 PM »
St. Albans FC are currently being investigated by the FA over claims they have been avoiding paying tax on their players wages for over a year.  After what happened to Boston I'm surprised other clubs even contemplate trying to pull a fast one.

The taxman always catches up with you in the end!

The B-Ark / Stamford
« on: May 14, 2010, 06:48:45 PM »
Tuncay Korkmaz has resigned as manager there because of a 'betrayal of trust'.  He claims that a breakdown in relations has occured with an un-named influential figure behind the scenes.

Stamford finished 10th in Unibond Division 1 last year with a team which included 4 or 5 ex-Boston players.
Kormaz also guided Deeping Rangers to the UCL Premier title in his first season as a manager, I believe Ryan Semple was top scorer with 30+ goals which shows he was playing well below his level.

The B-Ark / Simon Rayner

He has been released by Crawley, played really well for us when he joined on loan from Torquay a couple of years ago I remember. I imagine that he is well out of our range budget wise though.
