The B-Ark / vs RUSHALL
« on: November 21, 2023, 10:36:56 PM »
WOW!.
Im not usually critical of the team but that was truely  an absolutely dreadful performance {especially the second half}.
We just dont look like we will EVER score a goal.
Ive got serious doubts now about the immediate future, we cant carry on like this.
Remember aswell that we have {once again} exited both major cup competitions this season to lower league teams.

The B-Ark / 11 home defeats {already!}
« on: April 13, 2019, 08:52:04 PM »
10 home league defeats plus the embarrassing Peterborough Sports defeat...a truly dreadful record...surely weve never had so many defeats at York Street in one season?   Just think,if we had won just 3 of those home games we may be looking at a play-off place and people would/my  be saying "its been a good season!"   Fine margins...

The B-Ark / OUR CLUB IS IN SAFE HANDS...
« on: April 10, 2019, 10:22:32 PM »
Anybody who was at the FF tonight will have left in no doubt that our Club is in very capable hands...What also came through was the passion, dedication and enthusiasm that our Chairman and Directors have for the Club, and their resolve to see the Club safetly in their new ground asap, ultimately delivering a £11 million pound stadium to the Club.
UP THE PILGRIMS!

The B-Ark / vs ALTRINCHAM....
« on: January 05, 2019, 05:38:19 PM »
Well where do you start?

Im normally very supportive of the players and manager but I have to say after the Alty game that "enough is {surely} enough"...

Another turgid and totally uninspired home performance, and of course another home defeat.

No visible game plan either, apart from "hoof the ball forward and give possession to the opposition".

Thats EIGHT home defeats this season already ,including the embarrassing FA Cup home loss.

Apart from perhaps the home games vs Hereford and York City,we have been outplayed in every home game.

With the exceptions of  perhaps Willis and Davies none of our players seem to care.

And of  course with the constant merry-go-round of players coming and going its difficult to get a settled team. 40 odd signings before Christmas! Really?!

Im not saying that I know the answer, but Im really {really, really} sorry to say that what we have at the present time just aint good enough for Boston United. The long suffering supporters deserve much better.

The B-Ark / LACK OF A LEADER...
« on: November 17, 2018, 05:45:14 PM »
After yet another home defeat {vs Southport} {the 6th.of the season already!},and another truly uninspiring performance, its plainly obvious that we are missing a leader on the pitch.  I can understand CE giving the captains armband to George Willis {loyalty, experience etc} but its not working and at this level we need a real captain on the pitch. Somebody like Ben Davies with all his experience should surely be the stand-out choice for our captain. We are not organised and our players need galvanising and motivating. And its  very difficult to do that from your goalmouth...

The B-Ark / Good luck to GREG SMITH...
« on: April 28, 2018, 06:22:41 PM »
Looks like the big man and our talisman from last season may be off to pastures new next season, obviously not figuring in Craigs plans...I say this because he seemed to be "saying goodbye" to the supporters at the end of the Telford game...Good luck to him I say, always a fans favourite and always seemed 100% committed to the cause...Lets thank him for all the good stuff he did for us {mainly last season} and gloss over this seasons red cards...Everybody moves on in football at some time and I guess its Gregs turn to move on now...

L.B.  has signed for G@insborough for the remainder of the season!

The B-Ark / KARL HAWLEY...
« on: September 07, 2017, 09:24:09 PM »
In my opinion, for what its worth, Hawley is a "class act"....he brings class and experience to our team...he may not be a "90 minute" player anymore but more than compensates for that during his limited time on the pitch....check out on You-Tube the part he played in the win over North Ferriby....his match winning pass to Rollins in the dying seconds of the game, when he was surrounded by defenders, was pure class...I hope he stays with us for this season at least,he couls be our "Teddy Sherringham" {!}...

The B-Ark / Fantastic victory v S@lford...
« on: March 25, 2017, 05:58:59 PM »
IMO our best home performance of the season...really good in every dept.-especially the first half....Batch.and Brown looked a good sound combo at the back and we did have a reasonable midfield for once aswell...Young Harry Vince capped a supern man-of-the-match performance with a great opening goal...onwards and upwards!

The B-Ark / Defeated by D@rlo...
« on: February 18, 2017, 07:44:49 PM »
Another Saturday home game, and yet another defeat!
Another poor first half performance and we are 0-2 down at half-time...once again stupid defensive errors being our undoing...
Just like the Chorley game we did much better in the second half, especially after changing to a
4-4-2 after the two substitutions....we had at least two golden opportunities to equalise and could also have been awarded a penalty on another day....We are "getting there"  under our new manager....I have to say that D@rlo were fantastic at time wasting.....I dont like to criticise the Officials just for the sake of it,its just a shame that these "weak" officials did nothing about it and seemed oblivious to it all...

D@rlo I think brought on Liam Hardy as a late substiture, but from what I can see he wasnt mentioned as one of the official substitutes (just saying)...

The B-Ark / GREAT win vs Chorley....
« on: February 14, 2017, 10:34:14 PM »
IMO a much improved performance tonight Vs Chorley....We were unluckly to go in at half time at 0-1 {it seemed like we were playing against 12 men sometimes in the first half}....credit to the ref. though to award us a penalty and from then on we never seemed to look back..

The B-Ark / Joe Fitzpatrick...
« on: December 29, 2016, 08:54:32 PM »
looks like weve signed him from Telford United...

The B-Ark / not a bad start then?
« on: December 17, 2016, 05:18:57 PM »
1-1.....on paper a good result...

The B-Ark / GREGG SMITH....
« on: August 16, 2016, 10:22:35 PM »
What a superb Man Of The Match performance from our new man tonight against Tamworth...he was immense and seemed to be everywhere....Such a commanding performance at both ends of the field...he looked particularly impressive playing central defense late on in the game...He could be a BUFC cult hero in the making!

The B-Ark / What a game!!
« on: May 04, 2016, 10:39:55 PM »
What a tremendous occasion at YS tonight...a bouyant, expectant crowd....a superb effort from Bufc....and a tremendous goal from Zak Mills.....really every Bufc player gave it everything tonight...Scott,Zak and Carl were tremendous....lets hope Carl and Scott are ok for Sundays game....the only thing that ruined the game was the poor display from the Officials...really where do these people come from?....tonights ref.was soooo poor it was embarrasing- random decisions,no consistency in his decisions and (as usual) no help or assistance from the so called "linesmen".... Shocking!
