The B-Ark / Prediction League - FC Halifax Town vs Boston United
« on: February 09, 2025, 08:28:08 AM »
All games are tough when you're just off the bottom of the table. Not surprisingly My Computer is predicting a very easy Home Win. I'm going for:

FC Halifax Town 1-1 Boston United (1650)

You may want to wait until after FC Halifax Town's Tuesday night game at Southend before making your prediction.

The B-Ark / Prediction League - Boston United vs Barnet
« on: February 01, 2025, 09:15:47 PM »
Another tough one. This time against league leading Barnet. My Computer reckons A Draw. I think that's a tad optimistic, but I'll go with it:

Boston United 2-2 Barnet (2151)

Just added 1 to my attendance prediction as with no train engineering works or strikes and no snow or fog forecast I've decided it's time I made my first trip of the season over to Boston. Hopefully will get a few snaps of all the new players the club has signed in the last few weeks.

Trips to Spennymoor never seem to be good for Boston United. Hoping it's time that chanes so I'm going for:

Spennymoor Town 1-2 Boston United (1200)

The B-Ark / Prediction League - Boston United vs York City
« on: January 22, 2025, 08:25:26 AM »
It's a big one. York City are both in-form and promotion favourites, so not surprisingly My Computer is predicting a very easy Away Win. I'm going for:

Boston United 1-1 York City (2450)

The B-Ark / Prediction League - Boston United vs Middlesbrough U21
« on: January 19, 2025, 07:00:49 PM »
If Boston United win this one then I think they almost certainly will go to the next stage where some other big club's U21 sides become potential opponents. So I'm going for:

Boston United 2-1 Middlesbrough U21 (400)

The B-Ark / Prediction League - Tamworth vs Boston United
« on: January 16, 2025, 03:12:40 PM »
My Computer reckons a straightforward Home Win. With Tamworth out of the FA Cup they can now concentrate on the League, so probably will be a Home Win, so I'm going for:

Tamworth 1-0 Boston United (1400)

The B-Ark / Prediction League - Boston United vs Southend United
« on: January 12, 2025, 08:26:43 AM »
On form Southend should win this one, but My Computer has got this as A Draw. Southend are one of the best supported sides in the National League - the attendance at the reverse fixture on a Tuesday night back in August was 6924, so hopefully they will bring a few fans over for this one. I'm going for:

Boston United 1-1 Southend United (2000)

The B-Ark / Prediction League - Boston United vs Ebbsfleet United
« on: January 05, 2025, 11:21:10 AM »
Ebbsfleet have only picked up one point in their last eight matches and that was against Boston United! So although this looks like a banker Home Win as predicted by My Computer it may not turn out that way. However, I'm still going with My Computer with:

Boston United 2-0 Ebbsfleet United (1650)

The B-Ark / Gateshead FA Trophy match moved to Stockton Town
« on: January 03, 2025, 08:46:41 PM »
Apparently this is now being played on the 3G pitch at Stockton Town's ground.

From the official website:

There has been a change of venue for Saturday’s FA Trophy tie against Gateshead.

Following numerous conversations between the two clubs, match officials and the Football Association, Saturday’s fourth round tie will now be played on Stockton Town’s 3G pitch (KO 3.00pm) - MAP Group UK Stadium (TS19 0QD).

All those who have purchased online will be automatically refunded, with tickets now available to purchase on the gate at Stockton via cash or card at the original prices:

Adult: £15
Concession: £10
Young Adult: £5
Youth (16 & Under): £3

Gateshead have already beaten Boston United 2-0 in the National League and Boston United have only scored in one of their last six National League games. So on form this one is almost certainly going to be a Gateshead win. I'm going for:

Gateshead 3-1 Boston United (1450)

The B-Ark / Prediction League - Wealdstone vs Boston United
« on: December 26, 2024, 05:53:30 PM »
It's been quite a while since Boston United visited their 1985 FA Trophy Final opponents for a match. It was 28th December 1987. That 1987/88 season match ended in a 1-1 draw with the Boston goal scored by Warren Ward. This season My Computer is predicting a very easy Home Win. I'm going for:

Wealdstone 2-2 Boston United (1500)

The B-Ark / Prediction League - Boston United vs Solihull Moors
« on: December 21, 2024, 09:27:21 PM »
Strangely My Computer has this down as a narrow Home Win. Who am I to argue with My Computer? So I'm going for:

Boston United 1-0 Solihull Moors (2222)

The B-Ark / Prediction League - Rochdale vs Boston United
« on: December 16, 2024, 12:36:08 PM »
This one is on Tuesday night after the original was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. It's still another tough away trip to promotion hopefuls. My Computer dtill has this as a comfortable Home Win. Boston haven't played at Rochdale many times - just five games in the Football League and an FA Cup tie in 2019. Of those six games four ended in Boston defeats with only one goal scored by the Pilgrims. This time I'm going for:

Rochdale 1-1 Boston United (1700)

I've brought the original predictions from December back, so either "Modify" your prediction or just add a new one to the end. It's midweek this time, so all I've done is reduce the attendance prediction, but there have been quite a few new signings and players returning to fitness in the interim.
