The B-Ark / Re: V Spennymore Tuesday night
« on: February 09, 2019, 12:19:13 PM »
Guess what?   Spennymoor were due to face a play-off challenger today so their match is off and they can then re-arrange for an evening match and gain an advantage.  The "Storm Eric" excuse doesn't wash as none of the other northern clubs have had to cancel, in fact Spennymoor's game is the only one ruled out.  Disgraceful.  They shouldn't be allowed to continue at this level.   >:( >:( >:(

"Following a pitch inspection from the match referee, today’s game against Bradford (Park Avenue) has been postponed.

Despite the best efforts of staff and volunteers, who laid the pitch covers on Wednesday, Storm Erik brought 70mph winds and torrential rain to the County".

You'd have thought it was an ideal time to play BPA as they seem to be in free-fall.

BPA not won any of the last 6, just two draws including 2-2 draw against us at home before all the finical troubles surfaced.

Wouldn't count too much on the Barrow game as they could be champions by then and with nothing to play for

The B-Ark / Re: Galinski gone ...

With Garner and Marshall out and Pidge a doubt, can we recall Galinski for tomorrow?  Otherwise, could be a back four of Marrs, Mills, Steer, Tempest?

I know these loan deals often allow recall at one day's notice when we have players on loan here - hope this works the other way too!

I seem to remember DG saying after the first 28 days we can re-call him.

Confirmed here: http://www.bostonunited.co.uk/news/united-defender-departs-on-loan-1325898.html

Evidence, or hearsay about the stewards? I'm sure the club will be interested

It was my mate who your steward threatened with physical violence, I was stood right next to him. The line "do you wanna go outside was used". I will testify this to the relevant authorities. He also tried to provoke boston fans when you scored but the boston fans behaved in an exemplary manor and didn't rise to the bait. Such tinpottery stuff when you have actual fans it would seem acting as "stewards". The stewards from Lincoln were sound however.

I shall pass on your concerns to the relevant people.

(How do you know which stewards were from Lincoln, and which from Gainsborough?)

Lincoln stewards worn "L.C.F.C" Dark grey jackets not the luminescent ones.

Thought we were outstanding first half. Back four were solid, and our midfield and forwards were bossing the game. Dixon, Tempest and Felix were beating opponents at ease giving the game a cup tie feel against a side from several leagues below. Could and should have scored a second before the break with Dixon, Steer and Southwell among others having near misses although Trinity did force a decent save from the impressive Joel Dixon on the stoke of half time. Stamp came on and they resorted to hoof ball (providing an interesting dual with Pidge) as they were struggling to out play us at football. Second half was much of the same until the hour mark (agreed about the subs it did appear to change the game.) Gainsborough then had time on the ball and created two or three chances with Beesley, Picton and Davies having an impacted on the game. Boston finished on top again with a couple of chances to win it right at the end. Only 600 attendance with around 200 from Boston.

As for Thomas hopefully he will come good, lacks pace and is probably suited playing through the middle off either Southwell or Jones but seems to have something about him and has scored goals elsewhere.

Gainsborough were very tinpot. Stewards offering Boston fans "outside" after they scored. Stamp who produced a cynical off the the ball stamp on Steer; yet somehow this was deemed a yellow card not a straight red? Then rolling round like a girl twice after no contact. And finally I am still trying to find the six fingers on each hand Housham was telling us about as he walked down the tunnel..
Poor leadership letting down fans like Steelihat who represent the club well.

Evidence, or hearsay about the stewards? I'm sure the club will be interested

Interesting to get a different perspective on Piergianni v Stamp. From where I was stood (half way line) the only time Piergianni won a duel was when he fouled Stamp. The elbow in the head in centre circle should have been a red card - 10 yards from ref, who gave a free kick, and a quick word with Boston defender.
Subs changed the game, thought Greene took off your best two players, but it appeared that Boston who had worked really hard were running out of steam towards the end

Two Blues fans on your forum were impressed with Peirgianni Steeli !!!!

And the comments on your forum about Stamp would suggest he made an impression.

Mainly on Rene's thigh!  :dan

Solihull on a good run recently and scoring for fun so it will be vital for us to get off to a good start.
Our league record shows if we keep it tight in the first half we have our best results.
We haven't lost if we have been winning or on level terms at half time.

Usually a solid team when they come here, thankfully didn't there highly rated keeper have nightmare last season ?

Jas Singh moved onto full-time football with Kidderminster but has yet to play
