Let`s not forget that Rusholme have beaten Chorley and Brackley earlier in the season as well as beating us at home. I hope that our supporters can make themselves heard in the remaining games. It will let the team know we are fully behind them in the remaining matches.

The problem is our small catchment area when trying to sign new players. Smaller teams like Curzon have a wider choice than us and it means their players will never be far from home. Unless we are to prepared to pay exhorbitant salaries to attract quality ex league players we will always struggle.

Always  good to beat the Aussies after their unsporting cricket incident which cost us the ashes. They are poor losers and seemed reticent to shake hands with our lionesses after the game. Top marks to their manager though. At least he accepted defeat gracefully. Bring on the Spaniards.

I expect Fylde will use their usual tactics of blocking their opponent`s goalkeeper from getting to the ball at every opportunity. They also manage to get more than average penalties and free kicks by feigning injuries in dangerous positions.

His father went to school with my father in their younger days when they lived in Swineshead and was a keen United fan.
