And they do it on gates often lower than hours. Whether it's a better catchment area for players,I don't know. It's our endless conundrum.

Superb gritty performance from the boys. Bozzie and Woods exceptional. Fair play to Chester who with 10 men made us dig deep for the win. Surprised Gyasi wasn't given a run out because Mooney seemed to be really struggling today. Minor point, well done boys.

The thing that disappoints me is that I really thought the Hybrid system would give us a physical edge but if anything we seem to be out on our feet against part time teams and certainly found wanting against the more direct teams. Baffling.

I must admit I had reservations about how young our squad was but I will eat humble pie. Some of the football is sublime and they are so assured with it and this is at the start of the season. Hopefully they will only improve. Onwards and upwards

I can remember standing at York Street for the meeting where it looked like we were losing our club. On that we can only have dreamed we would be in the position we are now. That is down to David Newton and his vision. Never forget that when we are tempted to grumble about certain aspects of the new stadium which some people don't like. There's always things we can nitpick about but things could have been far far worse.

Didn't go yesterday but during the season I've found the service to be good. Maybe with pre season staffing levels are low because of holidays etc. With regards to the real ale, total agreement. The current offerings are shocking. Oh for the days of Batemans and Spitfire ale at York Street.

I don't know whether it is just Craig who looks after the website. If so he's maybe having a well deserved holiday. I agree the new videos online with new signings are different and amusing.

Since Covid there seems to be an unwelcome set of " fans" who appear for bigger games who's sole intent is to cause trouble. They also appear to be nastier as well with children no obstacle to their venom. Hopefully the authorities can get them identified and punished accordingly.

Very good news. With Cully and his team working on the players " full time " will make us fitter better organised and build even better team spirit. Well done David, bring on the new season.

Agreed,Hasani was quality yesterday as was Sephton who seems to be growing into his position every game. Felt sorry for Sanders who did little wrong but I think we could all see the formation wasn't working.

Well done to everyone, we finally seem to have a team. Keep it going and let's look forward to next season with optimism.

What is good is that Carol the physio is giving us regular updates and photos on Twitter.

Long gone is the cheery bloke he's now done to single word answers and with it an abrasive demeanour. Don't think he has any answers for our dismal situation.

I'm sorry but his record is shocking and there is no sign it will change. He's got to go to give us any chance of survival.

It's a lack of leaders on the park. Shiels is a great bloke but does he drive the team on the pitch. All season I can't remember any of the players digging each other out. It's all getting a bit late now unless we can find a monster of a centre half who can make a difference.
