We were unlucky to lose in the manner we did today. The team battled very hard and Joel was
Magnificent in goal. Can anyone explain to me how a fair shoulder to shoulder challenge can
Result in a penalty being awarded when it is not a foul anywhere else on the pitch?
Ridiculous decision!!

I think to be fair regarding the Fylde game, they pushed 4/5 up front and we had to counter
It. Regarding Chorley's late goal it was a case of good fortune for them. It actually highlighted
 just how important our 2nd goal was. It was a great result.

Great article by Jim Holden highlighting by example the joys of supporting your local team and non league camaraderie. In particular differing attitudes at Gateshead and Newcastle. Struck a cord with me. Did anyone else read it? What are your thoughts?

Amazing how time seems to pass so quickly. I have vivid memories of Wembley that day and the awful fire at Bradford. Remember being emotionally exhausted at night by the events of that day.  Pride and sadness.
