The B-Ark / Re: Trialists tuesday night
« on: August 26, 2016, 10:20:21 PM »
According to these two players girlfriends, the players or their agents applied for a trial with BUFC and Mansfield. I hope Dennis follows up on the Spanish player, but don't hold your breath.

The B-Ark / Trialists tuesday night
« on: August 26, 2016, 03:00:32 PM »
Went to FC ground to watch under 21s. Two notable trialists on show, one for Mansfield, tall midfielder, don't know names but played first team for Grimsby last year, ex Arsenal, Crawley and other. Best player on field was our number 10 by a long way. Spanish, played Spanish league 2 for Palma and other. Very clever footballer with pace, scored well taken goal.Shame there wasn't another player in the team to play with him to his level. There wasn't any other player capable of a first team spot for us. We got the information from both of these players girlfriends.Couldn't see Dennis there looking at these trialists.

Matt Warman is a very hard working MP for us and deserves our respect. He is in touch and available to all the people in his constituency and gets heard in Parliament. Matt is one of best MPs we have had, regardless of your political beliefs.

Can't believe Dennis has let Cooney go. He had a really good game for us , and can play in several positions. Also he's a good young player for the future.

The B-Ark / Re: Jay Dowie returns?

Dowie on the bench tonight. Dennis really losing it. Cant he see what everyone else sees. Dowie was too small and just not good enough first time round, very lightweight. We still need a decent left back and big cover for midfield/defence in my opinion. What was wrong with the big black guy trialist, he looked a good prospect. Seems Dennis got rid of one player and brought in someone weaker, strange tactic.

Heard the big number 18 is from Manchester City. He looked good, not knocked off the ball easily and clever feet, his passing and positional play was good also.

The B-Ark / Re: Greene keen on Bennett and Urwin
« on: July 19, 2015, 12:01:24 PM »
Going by Saturday v Kings Lynn we are still desperate for a decent left back. Bennet is way over weight and too slow, hence their goal. His good point is he has a long throw, but we will get slaughtered down that wing against our league players. I thought Urwin showed promise but had little to do apart from pass backs. His kicking and distribution was good, you can see he has played at a higher level. Smith up front was a clever grafter and would be a useful addition. McGhee had a good game also. Nice to have two fast wingers too. Hope Pidge is okay, his injury made me cringe, as it did him.Look forward to wednesday and saturday. On the way to the ground yesterday radio Lincs  gave our game as an away match, they want to get their game together, how many were put off by that.

The B-Ark / Re: Great result today

Disgracefull behaviour from the Boston supporter in the red section to one side of opponents dug out. Vile language and actions to try and antagonise the Worcester manager into having a brawl. All that in front of young supporters. He should have been ejected from the ground by the stewards.Pleased that there manager was sensible and ignored the pratt. Hope the BUFC management do something about this sort of behaviour. Not a good example for young supporters.

The B-Ark / Goalkeeper
« on: February 21, 2015, 08:22:02 PM »
Desperately need a new goalkeeper. Need someone bigger and more experienced as Joel Dixon. The team are having to try and cover the keeper which isn't on. Dennis knew he was losing Dixon and had long enough to find a decent replacement.

Why Green has to tinker with a winning side, to bring on lesser players I'll never know, unless the player is injured. Felix was giving them a lot to contend with which kept them from attacking in force.Thomas is not in the same league as Felix in skill or pace. Even the commentators on Radio Lincs couldn't understand the change. Afraid Green cost us all three points tonight with his decision. Marshall for Marrs I could understand. Oh well soon be bedtime.

The B-Ark / Re: BASTOCK OR EMERY TO RETURN
« on: September 06, 2014, 06:45:30 PM »
I stick by Gledhill for number one. Bastock not at our level, Emery is only good enough for a number 2. Vince ok as number 2 also. Hewit moved on to get games .

I was told yesterday Marrs has moved to Boston, living locally with another member of BUFC. Good for him and us. He had a decent game yesterday. Don't think we will miss Dickinson,by what we saw of him, although he didn't look fully fit yet. Reynolds I would think wasn't happy at not being selected in the starting line up, but we have good players in those positions already. Lets pray for a pacy striker soon. Not sure Newsh has enough pace to make any difference to the team, we will see.

Sorry to disagree, Vince spilled the ball too many times, should have come for the cross that resulted in their goal. Also he wasn't finding players with his kicking, and too slow with his decisions . That is the reason Gledhill is a more competent keeper. I thought it was a good game to watch, with some good fast passing on the floor. Midfield and back four were good, covering for each other and getting the ball forward. The main problem is in the striking position. I would try Meadows up front as a striker, he has bags of pace, heading ability, and energy looking as fresh at the end as when he started. Fully agree with Meadows as man of the match.
