I know it's a cliche but you really had to be there. The result wasn't unexpected, but the way it was acheived was totally unacceptable.

Never before in all my years of supporting Boston have I seen the debacle of the club captain arguing, effing and jeffing at the manager(s) while the game is happening behind his back, and most of the players seem disinterested and reluctant to fight for the cause.

Something is radically wrong. There is no doubting the footballing talent within this squad, my question is when and indeed what has to happen before we see it displayed

From my 75 yrs experience of watching Boston United from yours and oxo's comments on the game and players there's only one way this will go      .             No team can afford to sack all their players !

50-50 split on their board apart from one t###er called darlogramps. He sounds like a real piece of work. Let’s hope the lge don’t regret what they have done they have set a real precedent. Imagine this situation, need a point to get promoted and losing 1-0 with a couple of minutes to go".........................
Could set a trend ,   can see some physio's getting a bit of overtime .  :'(

But one thing is for sure, if l was the chorley owner, l would feel a sense of injustice, the only team to be relegated out of the bottom four, how can that be fair.

They deserve it!

I don't think they can complain at being relegated, considering they are 17 points inside the original relegation zone. If there weren't bottom, they'd have a better chance...
Would you be happy if it was us in the same position??
They do deserve it because of their league position, but does that mean the other 3 do not then, a football league table never lies about your performance on the pitch.
What's your justification for not relegating the other 3 ???
Can't see  anything to debate ,   what do you suggest the fair thing is , relegate the team second from bottom ?     Seems what it tells us it is decided only one team will be promoted from our league .

York are threatening Legal action if 2 clubs are not promoted from NLN as the same as the NL.

I think all clubs at our level will be thinking survival rather than play-offs .   Over the coming months I for see some non-league clubs requesting to move down the pyramid and some others calling it a day .

I have a very bad feeling that we will have the highest death rate in Europe.
Looks about right Dipodah... but we're all encouraged to go back to work despite a  daily death rate of 400+.
Its not going to to go away anytime soon, but can we adapt to the new covid reality and regain some semblance of normality, without hitting a second, super-size sombrero?  ???

Not a prediction I am happy to admit to Ed.  On a brighter note, I was reading somewhere that if you take deaths per million, we come about fifth.  I see the government has stopped using the comparison graph.

As always I take on the advice you offer Dip .     I am collecting an order of facemasks for the family today .       I hold the same fears as you Mick ,  I will not take up the offer of going on golf courses for a time yet .

An easy decision under the circumstances .   If obt is correct with his £13k compo for our clubs it fully vindicates it is the right decision .    I suspect the NC realise with that amount if the league restarted it would finish up in worse mess than ever with clubs crippled by lack on finance and withdrawing half way through the remaining fixtures .      I think some clubs will be looking to drop down the pyramid and others would not accept promotion .     An interesting close season with players nationwide looking for a potential employer .

Just reading about Vauxhall Motors, have to feel sorry for them. They'd already secured enough points this season to secure promotion, mathematically they were already up. But their season has been declared null and void and they stay in the same league.

That example though is precisely the reason why the points from this campaign have to count for something - either see out the existing campaign late or carry over points into next season.

That way next seasons best team would probably miss out on promotion .   And the demoted teams from Nat Con how would they stand ?
Instead of having one season with  an unsatisfactory conclusion we would end up with 2 consecutive seasons with unsatisfactory conclusions .
