The fact is time has told us one thing, thatchers big plan hasn't worked. We are now in the longest reccesion in living memory (it is now longer than the great depression) and all the talk is of "re-balancing" the economy, to guess what... Manufacturing! We live in a society of individuals, every man for himself where we tread on others to get to the top.

Thatchers plan would have worked, only its been changed over the last 20 years by too many lily-livered politicians (who are still with us), do you really think we would have had this recession if we had kept to her policies and not spent more than we earned, if Gordon Brown hadnt sold off our gold to the lowest bidder.
its alright tring to be socialist and look after everyone here and worldwide...........until other people (the taxpayers) money runs out

I couldn't get enthusiastic about Chester winning the title like some on here, all the signs to the ground said Chester City and that in my opinion is who they are, should David and Neil have done the same and gone bust leaving creditors with nothing, starting again three leagues down but owing nothing? It is unbelievable that we are still struggling to restore our good name when teams like this are lauded in the national media.
Sorry about that rant but it needed saying and we should remain loud and proud, next year could be ours.

Good shout mate, hit the nail on the head  >:(

Yes we would have more to worry about EG: keeping a roof over our heads, I have the same mortgage now as when she was in charge, I pay £165 a month now, in the early 90's it went upto nearly £800 a month, people froget.

interest rates were 17% in 79, when she came to power, not when she left,
also rubbish in the streets, dead unburied, 3 day weeks cos no power, Unions had us in a stranglehold.
people have selective memories

The B-Ark / Re: Reserves this Saturday

Well done Lincolnshire League. Despite the massive fixtures pile up for April you have arranged the Reserves this coming Saturday to play............no-one!! Brilliant. Take a pat on the back. Good news though that Stoner was back playing in BUFC colours in the (belatedly advertised on the Club's website) game last night v Horncastle Town. Well done Jordan for his hat-trick. :bunny

The Lincolnshire League bought forward this game at Bostons request as several of their reserve team have been selected for the County side
If we can help we will  ;)

Gainsborough Trinity do not run a reserve team.

We have an under 18's and youth teams for all ages up to this.

If this match was in Lincs league, then it was Gainsborough Town, a pub side that following a dispute with the pub landlord,  changed their name from Canute's, no connection to Trinity at all.

We dont have any pub teams in the Lincolnshire League >:(

If Qatar can do it at 4.400 sq kms, surely Lincolnshire can apply at 7000  :D :D

The Lincolnshire league has applied to become part of the football pyramid - a step 7 league.
this is akin to the Peterborough League Premier division in the south (Pinchbeck, Moulton Harrox) or the Central Midlands league Supreme division in the North (Nettleham).

The Lincolnshire League is the strongest League that the reserves could play in at the moment without travelling as far as the first team or changing their name (CRC, Team Bury in the Ridgeons League).

when Boston United are promoted to the conference, the reserves could apply to join the Totesport combination.

From a league perspective we are pleased that you have rejoined the league and are pleased to see Glen and his team enjoying the success.
