Bit of a stutter and a reality call, I am thinking. I hope not though.

I'll have a word in the right ear mate ;)

That might be worthwhile Bob.

I am wondering whether, with the passage of time, some people are hoping that this complication has simply gone away and been forgotten about.

After all, if it was a condition of sale at the time who has the authority to simply say we are going to vary the terms of that agreement now, becuase it suits us to do so. I could try similar trick with my mortgage but I doubt it would work.

Two sisters owned the land and sold with the clause that it was to be used for sporting events.  I was told it even had a greyhound track around the outside, ( how they got round such a tight pitch I do not know.)  I am led to believe that, that clause no longer exsists. :(

I've heard the speculation about the covenant myself, Bob, but one thing cannot be contested, it was attached to the original sale.

Probably an email to the planning department would solve the issue, one way or the other.

People of that era have assured me that the land on which the current stadium now stands was purchased by Ernest Malkinson for the sole purpose of being Boston United's home ground, in fact it was sold with a covenant attached that stipulated that the land was forever to be used for sporting purpose.

On to the stadium in its current form. Surely the people of Boston and the surrounding area financed its development through the once proud "Pilgrims Lottery". I just wonder if that lottery enjoyed charity status and as such did not qualify for tax as well.

Its a bit rich that this facility is now being used to hasten the demise of the club that it was always intended to benefit.

In a couple of years where once stood our ancestral home will be a block of flats similar to Castle Square, down West Road - foriegn beers cans and fag packets littering everywhere.

As a dedication to its founder it could be called Pat Malkinson Towers.

Its mostly around this part of the season that things start to take shape and an early pace setter can soon slip down the league.

A plus point is that Boston are still in touch with the leading pack where a run of results can move you into contention.

After a early blip though Kings Lynn are picking regular points up and even if not winning, not losing. A lot of their support are not impressed with Heggs at the helm but all his early season tinkering could be moulding them into a more balanced unit for this division. I read that his latest signing was Ben Muirhead from Farsley. I know he has fell way down the leagues  but remember him playing in a friendly at Boston a few seasons back and he looked well on the money to me.

Someone else who Evans has lauded has one of his bestest friends in football looks to be in hot water again.

Wonder if Evans was giving him advice on his taxes when the Spurs went to Crawley for a friendly in the summer

My gut feeling is that the management will get it right soonerrather than later.

They are not hiding and denying that they have misjudged  the situation, other that some of the players they brought in.

The next half dozen games could be make or break as far as retaining the wavering supporter though.

Test of character, this one.

Sadly everyone agrees Durham are poor and are there for the taking, merely kids in a mans league.
