The B-Ark / Re: Two points lost?

Gledhill is way the best keeper. One error in terrible wet conditions is acceptable. We should be looking at the many chances missed at the other end. Meadows has certainly proved a very good signing. His work rate is second to none.

I can't believe it takes this long to get International clearance for Gledhill. What on earth are the powers that be playing at?

Mark Simmonds is a first class MP. He has done a lot of work for our area as has Lord Tapsell in the Horncastle area. A great deal of the work isn't seen by the general public, but believe me these two MP's have worked hard for Lincolnshire. God help us if Ukip get in.

Anyone know if Gledhill's international clearance has come through yet?  Really hope so. The defence needs to be as strong as possible v Barrow.

Steer , Mills and Dowie, followed by Meadows ( when he came on ) were in my opinion the best players on the night.
Our back three defenders just had a poor night all at the same time. Not the commanding performance we were expecting. Steer was a workhorse in front of the defence and seemed to cover nearly all the pitch, trying to cover for everyone else. Mills was his usual class act until about one minute from time, getting two yellow cards. Does that mean we lose a star player for our start of the season ?
Hate to say it but Garner is not a striker and is now struggling to keep up with the pace of the game. Last night the defenders seemed sluggish and lacked pace. Hopefully our fast winger will inject some pace up front when he starts after suspension. The play it on the ground went missing last night, with virtually no quick passing that we were seeing in previous games. Dennis must have a headache this morning. Won't lose faith though.

Pleased to see Gledhill in goal, had a very good positive game with a very good back four in the first half. That must be close to the first choice defence plus Reynolds . Meadows was a far better bet than Hall, with more pace and stamina. Mills is really a star man at right back, with so much pace and attacking skills. Agnue didn't look anything against our much stronger team this season. Todays game was good entertainment in blistering conditions for the players. Well done all of them.
Looking forward to Tuesday night v Gainsborough.

A wallet was found in the red section of Fantasy Island stand and has been handed in if you know anyone who has lost one.

Really disappointed we aren't keeping Gledhill in goal. He was a solid keeper, with very quick thinking, more of the finished article than Vince. Speaking as an ex  BU goalkeeper/ coach when Middleton ruled,  I think Dennis has missed out this time.
The strongest back four we've seen ( first half at Spalding ) was Mills, Watson, Pidge, Reynolds. With Gledhill behind them you've got as solid a defence as you could wish for. Watson organised the back line really well, then in midfield there was another organiser in Meadows, a hard working player with height and pace and good distribution. Can't understand that so good players are being overlooked. Well thats my opinion.

Should have given Matt Gledhill more time in goal. To me he would be my choice as number one. He thinks what he's doing very quickly, and his distribution is spot on. Vince played well and he would make a good reserve keeper.
Very impressed with Forest. There number 7, as said, was magic, one of the best players I've seen. We were given a really entertaining match, thats what I call value for money.
We are desperate for a decent striker up front with pace. We can't just rely on the pace of Kaine, he has nobody up front to pass to. Sanders again proved what the majority of the crowd see, not first team material. Fouling with elbows as usual plus the usual as we all know. Rant over. Amazing we have a good selection of defenders, when Dennis play's his best at the same time. Also we are getting midfield a lot better. Very worried about lack of scoring power up front, we won't win games relying on midfield and defenders to get the goals. About time we saw the best team put out together, not long to the season proper. Fingers crossed.
