Ben Pollack. Signed from Hereford. Good signing in my opinion.
-
Hereford’s fans player of the season. They’re gutted he’s gone, looks like we will be competing in the transfer market with the big boys. If the remainder of the signings are of this quality we should be up there challenging.
On the other hand he’s only from Hereford who were mid table, he’s never played for us before, never heard of him and just shows how bloody rubbish Boston are at getting in quality players. Totally tin pot, another season of mid table mediocrity on the way.

Glass half full or half empty :D
You will never please some people. I think you are a half full guy.

Haha! This is so true. BUT I tend to use the reaction of fans at other clubs to gauge players I know nothing about, and yes they're all gutted he's left so that'll do for me. Sounds like he can play in a few different positions as well, massively useful asset to have during a longer season.

I've been told he was originally a midfielder, and was bang average. Moved into defence last season, and won player of the year...
-
Correct me if I’m wrong but the signing sounds a bit fishy to me
-
How long have we signed him for?

Time will tell if it's a good catch ;)
-
Cox is beginning to reel new players in
-

Unless stated otherwise, I assume a year? The official account is pretty ambiguous when it comes to stating contract length which I think is by design, but it definitely makes life hard as a fan knowing who's signed up for next season or not.

I hope he nets us lots of goals.

I hope he nets us lots of goals.
Going to need to with Elliott most likely leaving.
-
Jake Wright signs back on.
-
Pollock rejoins
-
Blimey!! That means we've got two pollocks
-
Can that be classed as a shoal?
-
We’re also in for Steve Guppy, Geoff Pike and Peter Haddock apparently
-
I did hear a rumour Bert Troutmann was being touted about being our new keeper. I'd never stick my neck out and say it was dead cert.

FC Halifax Town seem to be one of the clubs interested in him given what their manager has said in the local Halifax press :-
"Danny Elliott is a player who we admire a great deal. He's certainly young in full-time football years and has got an awful lot of potential to grow into. He's a player that we're aware of and we would be really interested in attracting to the football club. We know that he's got a lot of interest from other clubs and we're not shy about competing with those clubs when it comes to trying to meet the best interest of Halifax Town."

Scott Pollock what a signing. Really offered us something different when on loan last season, looked like a real quality player, would be ideal next to Platt in the centre of midfield with their different qualities. Though he would likely get a League 2 or National League team after being released by Northampton, looked good enough.
Getting a top quality keeper in now looks to be the big one to sort if we want to challenge for promotion.

Another new signing from a club south of Boston - are we going to change our training base away from Doncaster? Although I was born in Boston, I have lived in Norfolk for 50 years and my local club would be Kings Lynn but I continue to be a Pilgrim and always will.
-
I see he comes from E Yorkshire and started at Hull, so perhaps he's returning to his roots?
-
I'm referring to Will Atkinson, of course.
-
Played in the Premier League, scoring on his debut...

Are the two Pollacks related?
-
Nope, but Ben is the son of Jamie Pollock and his brother plays for Watford.
-
It’s a change to have Pollocks rather than Pillocks
-
Joe Leesley is back. This time as a permanent signing.
-
Dont care what people say but im pleased leesley as opted to come aboard. He got his critics but behind elliott last season he was the biggest contributor to the team. yes he misses a lot of passes but thats because if you watch the replays from last season he makes so many passes compared to others thats its inevitable at this level. But on the other side of that he makes that many passes he also as the highest pass completion rate. Teams not about who going to be the best to get on with at the bar, its about getting the job done

The news just gets better Zak Mills returns great signing. UTP

Just saw this and thought it was too good to be true. What a signing!
-
Apparently it was between us and Buxton, which makes the "coup" sound a bit less impressive. Hope it goes better than Dayle's triumphant return!
-
Hope he can still do his long throw ins and cause trouble in the penalty area.
-
Do we think that's done for the signings? A squad of 21 we have now feels about the right number. With Burrow still injured do we need another striker? Leesley only winger we have but that's ok if we are using a formation with wing backs as we have plenty of players who can play that position.
-
Leesley only winger we have
Crawford too, and Jake Wright has played wide for us before.
