The farewells have begun! So far, we have said goodbye to the five loanees and two others:
- Marcus Dewhurst
- Joe Leesley
- James Hanson
- Femi Seriki
- Ntumba Massanka
- Peter Crook
- Paul Green
-
Leesley has been released by Harrogate, and Massanka is still under contract at South Shields. I'd expect Hanson to leave Farsley (they've announced who is still under contract for them for next season already, Hanson wasn't included).
Dewhurst and Seriki will surely either get higher division loan moves, or be on the fringes at Sheffield United. Seriki had already played for the Blades this season.

I don't expect any of them to be back, with the possible exception of Leesley. Dewhurst and Seriki will be playing league football next season, wherever that may be, and deservedly so! Both are outstanding talents.

I'm sorry that Green isn't staying on in a coaching/playing role, as the last three games have shown that his experience could be useful. But time moves on....

So am I, of all the outfield players he was the one I was hoping would stay and do his coaching badges while chipping in with hour and half hour cameo's, you can't put a price on his experience.
The 2 Blades will probably, like you say, be in The EFL next season but trust me, there's a lot of very good lads in their academy system, I'm sure we'll see more lads down here next season.

He's taking on the Doncaster U16s next season, plus he has his soccer schools to look after. Probably simply too much to expect him to devote sufficient time to Boston. He might carry on playing closer to home, perhaps?

I see Pidge has been snapped up by Stevenage.

I know, probably too slow these days, but it didn't take him long to get fixed up!!

Good enough for Div 2 though, even if it is playing for the fraud!

Relegated with Oldham, a decent bloke by all accounts but a pretty bang average footballer according to their fans.
Looks like another case of McFraud signing the name, not the player he is now.
-
A real battler and gave his all. Was part of a defence that leaked more goals than we have this season. Not for me, never that keen on returning players unless they could make a major difference, don’t think Pidge would.
-
Pidge was a great asset to the club when he was here but always lacked the pace and when in the team needed to be backed up by a sweeper
-
Connor D has signed for Curzon
-
Will be interesting to see if Shaun Pearson gets retained at Grimsby.
Depends on the game this weekend, but he's not been playing much

I have heard rumours we might be sniffing around Pearson with the expectation he's not staying at Grimsby.

How old is he now?

Jordan Burrow re-signs for 2022/2023. Excellent news.
-
Great news about Burrow. Was not happy when he came back here after leaving York but He has more than justified himself since then. Though not the quickest he is an excellent target man and always gives 100%. Would be one of the first on the team sheet for me.

I agree - still think we've not seen the best of him due to injuries but I feel he's very much a 'Paul Cox' kind of player and could flourish under him next season.
-
One assumes that JB's quite rapid (and IMO very welcome) signing suggests we are not fully FT next season. Maybe a hybrid model will emerge??

I think we're staying with the same model, tbh. Dunno where the Telford boss got his info but I think it might have been a bit duff.

Maybe he meant full time as in we're going to spend all of our time in the NLN and we're never going to escape this godforsaken hell hole?

I believe that Jordan Burrow manages the Chesterfield U19s (and managed them against BUFC last year in the National League Youth Alliance), so I'd expect his daytimes/morning are filled coaching them.

Scott Duxberry departs.
Kettering's star left-back incoming?
-
Has to be something promising inwards if Dux is allowed to leave...
-
I’d Love Alex Whittle to come back!
-
Paul Green has signed for Worksop Town

Think he'll have suitors in the NL

He is under contract at Grimsby for next season but he only had a bit-part role looking at the stats. I wonder how much football he's going to get in League 2.
-
James Hanson has signed for Worksop
-
Looks like Worksop will be pushing for promotion, some really good signings
-
Crook has gone to Peterborough Sports (joined by Kaine Felix)
-
Shane Byrne departs. Ouch.
-
So disappointed to read Shane Byrnes tweet that he was not wanted by Cox for next season. While he"ll have no shortage of offers, do feel we have made a big error here.
-
Wow. Surprised by that but we don't know who he plans to bring in yet so let's see what happens.
-
I also feel this is a big mistake. Time will tell, I suppose.
-
Absolutely ridiculous. Should of been the first player to get in contact with. Shocking!
-
Same here. I thought he would be a must keep. Only hope replacements are as good as or better. Hmm
-
I think Cox wants a really combative central midfield, not sure Byrne fits into that sort of thinking. Need some creativity from somewhere so I could see the left/right backs pushing forward. I do worry that we will be a one dimensional scrap and hoof team the coming season. But if it gets results I don’t think many of us will complain too much.
Saying that I’m really disappointed if Shane’s description of contract negotiations is true, I would have had him down as the one player we should have done everything to keep. I now don’t have any hope of keeping Elliott.
-
From my understanding a deal that was offered was already at the top of what could be offered due to trying to secure him. I believe this was offered around the time the retain list was issued.
This was chased up just over a week ago but was declined as it did not meet expectations. Just one of them things in football and whiles gutted as a club Team Balance and Budget must always come first. Break it for one player could make a unhappy Balance
-
Scott Garner to Alfreton
-
Danny Elliott leaving as well
-
Fine by me for those that are leaving. Difficult to understand without being party to contract negotiations but it's usual for most clubs like us to have hugh turnover each season esp when new manager comes in. Plenty of players to come in so let's look forward to the new ones, they look very promising so far and according to Paul's video plenty coming in as well
-
Was never going to keep Danny unless we gave him a huge huge bump in salary.
-
wheres he going
-
No excuse next season, this PCs team. I'm little bit excited don't let me down.
-
wheres he going
Danny Elliott has signed for Boreham Wood.
Will he score as many goals for them as their previous ex-BUFC striker Kabongo Tshimanga did I wonder?
-
Byrne signs for Kidderminster

And the Kiddy fans on their forum are absolutely delighted.

Byrne signs for Kidderminster
He was part-time plus working on building sites but now full-time again which helps with his ambition to become a coach.
-
Jay Rollins has signed for Worksop Town
