Title: FA Youth Cup
Post by: chris b on July 12, 2019, 02:34:15 PM: The FA Youth Cup was drawn today.
We have a bye in the Preliminary Round.

1st round qualifying is away to Long Eaton United or Borrowash Victoria in the w/c September 16th.

If you've not been before its almost always a very entertaining and cheap evening out.

Just don't expect to see the future of Boston United out on the pitch - hardly any of them ever make it to make a single first team appearance!

For those that are interested Long Eaton beat Borrowash 4-1 last night.

This season we are away to West Bridgford in the 1st qualifying round of the Youth Cup. Match to be played w/c 21st September... hopefully with fans?

EDIT: Yep, and they might be losing their ground as well as the neighbouring cricket club.

Post by: chris b on September 26, 2020, 07:14:01 AM: It was a reasonably comfortable 3-1 win on Thursday night. West Bridgford played the second half with 10 men after a slightly soft red card.

West Bridgford's consolation is a masterclass in how not to clear your lines. I had a pleasant evening out - Â£3 well spent and it didn't rain!

The next round is away at Grantham on Thursday 8th October - perhaps this might attract a few more spectators?

The tie was switched pretty sharpish due to us not having a home ground at the moment!

The Notts County game should be played by the end of the week but Iâ€™m not sure weâ€™ve been told where or when itâ€™s going to be played (and if anyone can watch)

Post by: chris b on July 09, 2022, 08:32:38 PM: Away at Sherwood Colliery (Mansfield Woodhouse) in the Preliminary round this season. To be played week commencing 29th August. A nice easy trip for me and a new ground as well.
