Nuneaton today take a 15 man squad that includes 3 goalies to Brackley .

They might need 3 keepers to stop Brackley scoring

Wow what a 1st half performance, domination.

I'm hoping he went and says it was a marvellous performance even though he can't stand Ashton's ground.

When the draw was made he said "Is anything likely to happen to lift our spirits. Really don't think I can make another effort to go to that dismal soulless dump so soon after the last trip."

Today's result will have cheered him up.  Well done to all and just reward for our fantastic away supporters.

Great win. OK, it's 'only' the FA Trophy but a win is a win. After last week it's just what we needed. Not so many on here at 5.15pm today slating CE.

I will begin by saying what a joy it was to return to a ground of outstanding natural beauty. Suppose I had better start at the beginning and what a beginning it was, after two minutes a great ball from young Max to Nicky who should have scored despite a great tackle back by their lad. Not to worry as the ball was played through mid field and out again wide again and when it came inside there was young Max to slam it home. What do we do now? do we tighten up and hold out for 70 minutes? Halaleuja! we keep piling forward again through the mid field and beautiful passing puts Nicky through to flick it over the keeper for another lovely goal. Surely they will now consolidate, oh no they won't, again through mid field and out to Max who comes inside across their defence and slots a stupendous goal. The whole team appear to be on cloud nine and a lovely ball to the back post finds Gav who heads it back across goal for Nicky to nod in. It was an excellent first half full of great passing and hard work by every single one. Second half produced just one goal but what a goal it was with Andy Thanoj hitting a beautiful pass from the edge of his own box diagonally some 40 yards on to the toe of Ash who took it in his stride and put a superb ball across on to to the head of a diving Gav Allot who powered it into the top corner, a goal to challenge Qualters on this ground for goal of the season. Very unlucky not to have a 6th When Davies hit the angle of post and crossbar with a cracking free kick. So who was man of the match? it is difficult to say as every single one put on the style and gave it everything however, Liam Agnew took the mid field by the scruff of the neck inspired Abbott and Thanoj to give their best displays of the season and what a prospect young Max is. I sincerely hope this is the turning point of the season and Craig plays the same team next week and going forward.  UTP

I said last week I would be VERY interested in the performance and result. The performance and result speak for themselves. Can this be a catalyst for a gruesome trip to Chorley? One extra point...I castigated Middleton for his dismissal at Darlington. I would have relished his prescence on the pitch today. Why? A heart-felt 2 footed tackle at knee height on one of Wright's bully boys would have got Caesar's thumbs-up from me.

Being as its Saturday night, there's only one thing to say..

Fab - u - lous!

The start was full of energy. All the way through the first half, everyone was perfectly in time with each other. And the finale left us with an added bonus, a clean sheet.

It's a " 10" from me!

Now let's go on and win the Trophy! So many teams find this competition a complete distraction that I have always maintained ANY Step 1 or 2 team wanting to win this competition will be unlucky not to at least get into the last 8.

It's going to be a walk in the park, there will only be 63 other teams in it.   :-\

FA Trophy 1st Round draw to be played on Sat 15th Dec

A certain Boston legend in Mr Shaun Pearson awaits then. Am sure he will receive a good reception from the travelling fans. A good tie, although flashbacks to that day when we got relegated from the football league by them will always be in the heart.

Yes l agree a very sad and frustrating day that was, but a tremendous appreciation and applause from the Wrexham fans at the end of the match for us.
I remember a kind lady Wrexham supporter giving me a hug and wiping away my a tear from my cheek after the game.
We will though have to mark and block Shaun off at set pieces as we all know how good he is at scoring goals from them.

Agreed, he will be a handful at set pieces and no doubt will score. I mean, just how many returning players do this to their previous clubs. I should get a bet on it, after all...I won a small fortune backing Pearson as a first scorer/anytime scorer during his time with us. One of the best CB's ever to wear our shirt in my opinion.

He will be to busy being run ragged by Gav Allott. Well as much as I would have loved to go to this game I will be in the sun that week booked it because it was the date for second round and didn't think we would be in it however, It is a game the lads can go into without pressure likewise our fans, would really suit if they could get a replay. It should also put a quid or two in the coffers.  UTP.

it's be good to take them to a replay. I don't think they'd fancy the long trip midweek! (Or am I grasping at straws?)

Hopefully they'll rest everyone, put a really scratch side who play like a load of strangers and we turn them over
Imagine you'll get 3 or 4/1 on us to qualify

Hopefully we arrange to finish it on the day. A replay won't do either any good and will not bring much money in....

We should get at least 6/1.  But you are right Josh up to 4/1 is the best you will get.  If Betfair run a market you will get a bigger price, but on the exchange, not the sports book.
