All we need now is a new ‘Best central midfielder in the CN’

I think SLV comment is tongue in cheek ,   remember Adam Murry ?

Margetts and Arnold both have a wealth of experience at our level and above. They're both impressive signings. All we need now is to trigger Ronaldos's buyout option at Real and we've got a bloody good front line!

Well he certainly knows where the goal is.
Well done the management for getting him here. Good luck JM, may you stick a few in!!

Excellent. Why does this need FA ratification?

Fantastic signing, well done to the board for backing these signings.

Delighted, but feel that Margetts and Rollins does not give us enough depth and resilience up front in case of ssuspensions etc.

So what about Arnold, Walker ??
But we do need a couple more though.

Top striker. Little injury prone but if fit will do well at Step 2

Many times down the years on here though I've seen fans moan about the amount of money other clubs are paying out

Many others have also said - 'we wouldn't complain if we were were getting the same backing'

Recent signings show that Boston are paying big wages. So let's have no one playing the 'we can't afford the wages' card. Because obviously the money is being shelled out

Signings look very good

We can help by turning up and encouraging. No more of this 'rubbish' being shouted from Spain lane if a throw in goes astray.
It's a thought but I doubt that will happen!! Anyone on here that stands on Spain lane on or around the halfway line will know what i'm on about.  :D :D :D

Sadly l don't think you will ever get rid of that, we do seem to get on our players backs when they are having a bad game.
Me personally, l find most of my frustration is aimed towards the officials and not the players.
The officials always give me the opportunity to vent my anger out.
I do agree that we need to get behind this team from the off, alot of hardwork and cash has gone into assembling this team.
It's just really nice that we are the team that is setting the standard with are signings and turning heads.

NF, when we lost what I'd call 'average' Jordan Keane to Stockport, you said it showed they have showed good intent with their signings. What by signing this sort of player ? You went on to say we'd become an unfunny joke. Whilst for every team in the league, the proof will be in the pudding, I don't think any reasonable supporter would argue that we've shown good intent with the signings made so far.

TEP

ps. maybe if you stayed to the end of matches rather than walking out when we're two nil down you may learn something :)

That bloke is an idiot.  He seems to pick a player he dislikes at the start of the season.  He is then on his back every time he plays.  He also seems to have the biggest mouth.  So if he is on this forum (  SHUT THE **** UP ) and encourage the lads.  End of rant ;D ;D

Why do our fans have to have a go at each other? Football is a game of opinions and is supposed to be played in our case by grown men who I am sure have been called a lot worse than rubbish.

I have supported this club for over 50 years and to be fair some of the games / players we have been graced with in the last few years have been poor.

However a new season will soon be with us and renewed hope with the signings being made and a very capable manager.

So hopefully the support will increase and resemble that of our last league game at Wrexham where we encouraged our lads all game and were applauded by their fans at the end.

Hi
We only have friendly banter on here, and no one is personally abusive to each other.
We don't all agree with each other at times and everyone has an opinion about anything and everything.
This is a cracking forum and probably one of the oldest around.
I have at times been put in my place and told off on here, but I wouldn't change it for anything.
We are all united in one thing, the love and passion for Boston Utd.
Welcome to the forum and I hope you will enjoy the many topics and threads on here.

Its not friendly banter at all.

Some of it is downright rude and in some cases it gets very personal.

Interesting to see there's much better 'banter' on the Facebook Groups and Twitter where you know who you are talking to, rather than on here where a lot of the posters are unknown.

Im the admin for the facebook page.
I think people respect eachother on there a bit more.
If anyone gets personal, i just kick them out anyway.
We all have different opinions, thats the beauty of football and the  affiliation we have with our team.

You dont have to agree with everyone, but people do need to show a bit of class when giving your opinion back.
Come on you yellas!

I remember back in the old days (2006-2007ish) one particularly unpleasant member hacked my emails and posted personal stuff on the 'other' forum run by that Amber Army bloke.

Weirdly, they all pretty much vanished after we were dumped back into non-league.

Whilst I appreciate money and location can be seen as a problem, players at all levels like to play in successful teams and am sure with our managers persuasive powers could have had a say. However I bow to your greater knowledge as I am sure that you must a source of information that I don't.

I appreciate that they obviously have a good relationship but still believe that he or a player of his type would be useful. Billy heath is a manager with a half decent track record at our level and knows what it takes to do well in this league.
Just hoping to see us with a plan b this year.
Let's get behind the lads

Simon Clark was the Worksop Town manager who signed Denton from Alfreton Town. Denton left us to join Billy Heath at Ferriby when we resigned from the Evostik League. Since then he has followed Billy Heath

Salford couldn't offer him guaranteed football.. probably because they've signed Danny Lloyd to play instead!

He won't be the only one to walk at Salford because they can't get a game.
