According to the Brains Trust on Endeavour Radio, we cannot make the playoffs unless we get 6 points from 2 games  and everyone else loses  :-X

Won 1-2 Well done lads and Craig, could we possibly reach the playoffs????

Listened to the first half on their commentary. Their guys said we were best footballing side they had seen there this season & we were first 2 everything, committed & won every 2nd ball. What a week for our Club!! We're proud again. To beat the two best sides in the league in less than a week is just Outstanding!!

Nuneaton (a), then Telford home, come on Boys stranger things have happened? If we did gatecrash the play offs - you wouldn't want 2 draw BUFC in this form against the top 7. Well done what ever happens now. OMG next season could be Special?!!!!

Little Man Utd beaten at home by a real club, without us doing them a favour last Tuesday night, they wouldn't have win the league today.
But what a result and a outstanding win, well done to everyone.

We were very, very good today - Salford offered nothing until they had about 4 people playing up front.

I always have a wry smile after a win like this. Probably our biggest week in terms of quality and performance. To take six points of these two is nothing less than amazing. Yet just a few posts.  Next week for the last game we should take a leaf out of kings lynn kids go free etc etc to get people in to see what a very good team we have.  To look at the table is almost unreal. On a separate note well done to Mick Small and Darren North to a great night in the Sports Bar hosting an after dinner speaker event with the excellent Mark Crossley and comedian and food raising money for the youth set up.  The feedback has been brilliant.  Well done

Excellent point re kids for free etc This is just what I was saying on the bus coming home, Lots of kids going for the first time with the experience of watching the end off season presentations as well could be a great winner.

Have to agree.  We have some amazingly loyal fans home and away, but the seniors need to be boosted by youngsters coming through the gates and what better time to do it than now when we all sense a feeling of optimism for the future.

kids free would be a great idea, but the club do already reduce for the kids with reduced price for parent+child entry and also the season ticket the same. They can't sell these and then give kids free of for a quid, as those that bought season tickets would rightly have a grumble. As they've already announced theyve  held the season ticket price, and combination tickets, they can't now offer the kids free, etc. I bought my 9 year old a season ticket (main stand) for this season at £25. She's been to 15 games, so that's about £1.65 per game. If I'd paid per match at £5 per game, it's have cost me £75 for the same matches. So, to be fair, I'd call that a decent saving already.

Really? You get several free games as part of your season ticket. I can't see why anyone would grumble for 1 game, the last game of an overall good season.

Get the kids in, make it a good atmosphere and hand out fliers to the kids to take home to their parents.

Current season ticket holders are in the main loyal supporters who love the club and I am sure that to a person they would be right behind any initiative to get more support, be it just for this one game or the future. Not only that but this game should be promoted in any way possible as to be honest our selling of Boston United is very poor, it needs to be in the spotlight at all times not just when we have a good win.

I didn',t mean grumble over a one-off. I would be very much in favour of that. My grumble was meant if you bought the season ticket and then kids went free to all games.

It costs me £15 for my lad and myself on the Town End, and before then £17 on the main stand. I think that is a fair price for us both.

I think we will just get season tickets for next season though even if they dont get much use for the first few weeks of next season ( wife's work gets in the way some weeks :(   )

On the other side it was the kids for a quid that got me started properly watching the team so could see the benefits to both.

Well in fairness Gary Neville probably can't do much about it but I believe an official complaint has been lodged and rightly so - that utter moron could have really hurt someone. It's only down to his woeful accuracy that a Boston fan wasn't burned. The Salford fans were mostly great - the thing that was most annoying about this was the guy was escorted to the side of the pitch and then released without charge!

As an aside - are there rules about drinking in sight of the pitch at this level? I thought there were, and yet there I was - downing a few in the sun along with hundreds of other happy punters as we cruised to victory. Bloody brilliant. If only we could do that more often.

You can't drink within site of the pitch for FA Cup games (and Football League/Premier League I think), however for other games it's down to the licence held by the club (there are other grounds which allow it, Nuneaton and FCUM do too from what I remember). I wonder if BUFC will go down that route for the new stadium.

Reading on their FB site it seems that they have been forced out by Gary Neville, apparently he wants a high profile league manager in charge, but we all know that works really well in non league.

Won promotion with Fleetwood, and left Scunthorpe within the League One play off zone. There are managers with much, much worse records.

Very much respected as a player.

Yeah, this. I'm still puzzling over why AM failed but the fact he tried to run Boston like a full-time outfit with players who had day jobs could well be a factor. There's only so much stuff the human brain can absorb without being overloaded with information. Sending players clips of their performances might work when that's all they do, but juggling jobs with footy, families, paying the bills etc? Maybe not.

Alexander looks to be a good appointment to me. He'll have the luxury of working with his players every day - something AM didn't.

TBH l couldn't care less what Salford do, they are just another bankruptcy waiting to happen.
The Gary Neville gang are just a bunch of bullies, who have taken over a club and made it theirs, without a care for what the fans think or want.
Gary Neville is childish and arrogant, he didn't get his training pitches at Turf Moor because it's green belt land, he then started tweeting childish comments to the opposing group.
Very professional is Gary.

If it was the ex Manure ex players financing Cashford themselves Chubs may have an outside chance of future Salford fortunes unravelling after they have had a few seasons in FL (sound familiar) ??

However, Neville's business partner & Siingalese Billionaire Peter Lim who (tried unsuccessfully 2 buy Liverpool few yrs ago) will be determined 2 hit the bright lights especially as they have already had so much sycophantic BBC air time already...as the cash laiden rollercoaster continues to prosper the coverage will only become more intense.

And let’s all be honest if it happened here who would say no. We all know for football to have longevity it has to be sustainable but money talks and always will do. I’m old enough (and daft enough) to remember the first division when you didn’t know who was going to win the title, money has put paid to that.

If what happened at Salford happened here, I'd probably be off. Taking over a club and pumping money in is one thing. Taking over a club and changing the kit colour to match your old Premier League club while using it as a vehicle to further your business interests with no regard for its history or the wider non-league community in general? Nope.

Gary Neville was very hasty in making that appointment.
