Title: v FCUM
Post by: Cavalier on March 16, 2018, 04:19:40 PM
Unless we can get another centre half in on loan my team v FCUM would be:
(Correction: we don't need another c/h now I realise it's Thanoj who's suspended, not Qualter).
1   John Stewart
2   Wes Atkinson
3   Stephen Brogan
4   Andi Thanoj  Jamie McGuire
5   Jordan Keane ©
6   Jamie McGuire Ryan Qualter
7   Jay Rollins
8   Brad Abbott
9   Reece Thompson
10   Greg Smith
11   Ashley Hemmings

   Subs:
12   Kabongo Tshimanga
14   Taron Hare
15   Benny Igiehon
16   Jonathan Wafula
17   George Willis

Thought Thanoj was suspended?

You are right, I was thinking it was Qualter.  Which actually makes it better as Qualter will be No.6 and Jamie McQuire can be in his familiar role as No.4.

I would have recalled Vince as midfield cover, we do have all those players out on loan, and Harry would probably welcome the chance to try and impress.

Will the game be on, what's the weather like Manchester area?

Can't see any reason why the game will not be on.  No snow or frost to cause any problem.  Can't speak for the FCUM fans journey though.

Weather is sunny but extremely cold and windy here ( I'm 7 miles from Manchester City Centre). There have been large snowflakes falling, but have mostly melted already.

The cross Pennine routes will be the problem for those travelling from this part of the world. Both the Woodhead & Snake Pass roads get closed very quickly, and it doesn't take too much for the M62 to grind to a halt these days. I was caught up in a long delay coming home after our game at North Ferriby a few weeks ago.

For other reasons I can't make it today, but if the game goes ahead I hope the FC Utd fans have nothing to celebrate on their way back tonight!!

The A 50 Stoke to Nottingham is a little further, but a better road in these conditions.

I know the game is OK our end, it was whether their supporters could travel here due to the weather warnings.
