Not everybody can get to midweek away games... but a short journey to Tatt Road is a possibility. I'm gonna stay in and watch England on the telly, and follow BUFC on Twitter.

Some call it loyalty, some call it madness... I see it as a bit of both!

I used to do away games, but can't now for various reasons, so Town is the next best thing. There's quite a bunch of Pligrims' season ticket holders stand near the home dug-out. It's only £4 for me to get in - and the tea's 80p.

I accept your apology, I am a true BUFC supporter in fact for 30 odd years, in that time I could have easily walked away and not gone back after all the pain and disappointment over the years,
But when the club nearly went out of existence, I came to that famous meeting with a cheque for £200 in my pocket, the very last money I had left to my name, like many of us true supporters did that day.
So be very mindful when making judgement on people's level of support for this club.
People support this club in many different ways, not just turning up for away games, like me many of us have work commitments in the evenings and nights.
I sometimes get only 4 hours sleep from working a Nightshift when attending a weekend home match.
I watch as much local football as I can, Holbeach, Spalding, Kings Lynn, and now Boston Town, me personally would rather give me money to local football instead of throwing it at the greedy premiership club's.
Yes I went to watch Boston Town to see DG, I have never hid the fact that l am supporter of his, as I am of Craig who l believe will be very successful here, and that is whether we stay up or not.
I like DG very much on a personal level, and enjoy my conversation with him as I do Graham Drury who always gives me a warm welcome when I see him.
I did not resign from this forum, I was just a bit fed up with it all.
There are many of us on here who do occasionally have a spat now and again.
I should be offended by being called a Muppet but I have been called much worse in my time, but I do enjoy the Muppet show very much so I will not take that to happen heart.
The result was not good last night, but we just have to move on and fight another day, get behind the club and hope we can survive, but if we don't I will be back again next season to start all over again.
Keep on believing my friend.

That's him - given a lot of praise and applauded off both times I've seen him play. PS It's possible to have a great weekend of local football over Easter: Pilgrims at home on Friday, Spalding Town at home on Saturday and Town's local derby at home to Sleaford on Monday.  (I have a very understanding wife!)

Boston Town yesterday had their players draw their playing positions out of a hat for the first half at Cognehoe yesterday, meaning defender Jason Field played 45 minutes in goal. Seth Greaves came on at half time to play the 2nd half...

Totally agree with that theory Pilgrim. Don't think it would have even got past the thought stage. I mean all the social media vitriol would have reignited as well. Don't think anyone at FC or BUFC actually had the stomach or time for all that nonsense again.

Total agreement Champs , Hopefully this small foul mouth mob have reflected on the effects of their immature chants and restrain themselves in future , no alternative but to give the fixture a miss .
Shame as about 600 fans look forward to this match , also a good earner pre-season for our friends at Town FC .

Does anybody here know the actual legal current position regarding ownership of Tattersall road. My understanding is it is probably owned by a malkinson family member? I don't understand how this came about. When Sotnick attempted his dishonourable land grab his first move was to take fc bostons assets in order to finance the boardsides fantasy? Fc would then play at cuckoo meadow .... come on could u script this?? The point being fc were set up in 1966/7 by disgruntled pool playing bufc diehards after malkinson mothballed BUFC & York St lay idle as a Sunday morning pub team carried on as BUFC. I think after a couple of years malkinson financed us again & we may have got back in one of the southern or Midland leagues. So who owns tattershal road??

Thanks YC, I think u r right. So thinking about the new stadium & the financing of it the Chestnuts are not in a bad position at all. Everything is negotiated with the Malkies re York St ...end of lease etc. Tattersall road is part of that particular legal contract! Now then 80-100 flats on York St & car park; 100+ luxury homes on tattershal road, you can see what Sotnick was after (Evans & his brother were in on it 2). Just as well the Chestnuts managed to bag it then! Recent investment on the pitch reflects their genuine care for BUFC. But how did the Malkies get tattershal road off the 6 BUFC diehards who formed FC Boston in 1966 ????

I just remembered something from a while back concerning the lease on Tattersall road being renewed, and the chestnuts being involved.
I have know idea how it was purchased by them, perhaps when they bought BUFC they also acquired Lava flow, the company that was set up by Sotnick and co.
I am sure someone could shed some more light on the situation.
