L.B. has signed for G@insborough for the remainder of the season!
-
They are obsessed with signing ex pilgrims.

To be honest, the way all non-league clubs seem to churn through players these days - ourselves included - we're probably not far off a time when all BUFC players will have at one time played for Trinity, and all Trinity will have at one time worn amber. Daft innit?

Spot on Pete, this is the way in local non football.
They all seem to do the rounds.

I don't understand why we didn't go for him. Last season before his injury Cowley said he was the first we on his team sheet. From what I've seen of a CE team and what CE expects of a player Lee Beevers would of been an ideal fit.

Let Trinity test his fitness first !!

Not the young man anymore from our FL days. Now 34 but still will be an asset to any Step 2 NL club.
-
Sorry but Trinity are grasping at straws now.
Not the best signing in there current position.
LB has played very little football, over the past 12 months, it could take hie five or six games to get him up to match fitness and that could be to late by then.
They needed an impact player now, not a maybe he will be fit in time one.

I'm pleased we didn't go for him. He's mid thirties, injury prone, lacking match sharpness, and we can't afford a passenger. We've suffered too many old heads who go through the motions. It's nothing personal to Lee, as I thought he was a fine player when he played here. I'd sooner us sign somebody younger, fitter and sharper.

Apparently has now signed for Alfreton Town. Gainsborough not to his liking.

Curious
Trained with Trinity all season to get fit. Reaches fitness and gets a deal until end of season.
Chris Moyses appointed Alfreton manager and his first signing is LB as player coach, after one game for Trinity.
-
That's all the thanks you get for looking after a player and helping him to recover.
-
"We gotta get of this place" - The Animals classic springs to mind. Gainsborough Trinity are Step 3 bound and Alfreton, although no glamour club, will be Step 2 next season.
-
There may be more Ex Imps joining him now Moyses in charge.
