Doesn't run
Demotivates everyone in the team
Thinks he's a superstar
Nothing ever his fault
Can't think of any assists he has made
Hardly ever tackles
Never gets sent off as that would strengthen the team

Bobby Mitchell or Jeff Lissaman
-
In the 60s 70s we had a midfielder called Andy Wilson .
He used to be sub :when he played he was ' invisible ' , but that didnt matter too much as Jim Smith would be holding things up almost single handed .
And Martin Peters had been the same in The 1966 World Cup ;)

Bloody hell that's hard to answer!

Jim Dick

+1 to that, even Jason Lee signed better midfielders than Chapman.

This is vindictive and can be classed as harassment, Ken you need to take this down, as we have now slipped down to the level of Facebook.
-
How is that vindictive? It's a question and opinion on what he brings to the team. You're welcome to reply with the positive things he does for them as this could help less knowledgeable people like me understand why he is the only outfield player not to miss 1 minute of play this season.

it's a discussion forum, YC. Good or bad opinions, they stand, no matter how much you support the manager and his players. There will always be someone with an opposite view.
Freedom of speech is encouraged here. There's nothing abusive or threatening in the question that was asked or the answers given so far. If you don't like it, then don't read it.
Two hours before this post on another thread, you declared you had written your last post?
Facebook is much worse than this forum, but I'd guess you know that.

absolutely right chf. It seems to me chubby does little or no research before posting .
If he had looked through the Patter postings over recent years he would have seen posts containing vitriol and very questionable allegations directed to BUFC employees

The last midfielder to play like Chapman. Waves his arms .Mark's open spaces. Cannot tackle or will not. Tells better players what to do. A yard to slow. Most passes are 5 yards letting others take responsibility. Rusk .
-
Would that be Simon Rusk who went on to play at a higher level?
Another lad who got slated when he was here....David Noble got flak but played at a higher level.
I am not a big fan of A.C...
BUT
I don't think this thread is helpful or interesting or humerous.
-
Tell me CHF, when you mature enough to actually get a job, how would you react to a constant barrage of abuse from all sides?
-
just watched the two interviews from yesterday
both AM & AC hurting.
interesting from AC that it is the players who have to take the blame as the manager cannot do anymore.
i hope as captain he conveys the message to the rest.
-
To be fair to Chapman he does actually sound like he gives a toss in the interview. Needs to translate that into his and other players performances on the pitch now and yes in hindsight this thread was probably a bit misworded.

Have the players got the ability to up their game ? and if so why wait 11 games to produce it .

the manager has a habit of saying the right things in interviews too, but talking a good game doesn't get results.
-
I think chapman is lacking confidence as when he 1st signed he's range of passing was far better it's almost like he has given up in fear of playing the glory passes.
For me Lewis hilliard was a better option and a lot cheaper too as Lewis has a range of passing along with a goal threat.
-
Hilliard would also go missing in most matches, with the odd brilliant game here and there.
-
Hmm thinking but not saying I wonder.

Hilliard had a very pale complexion and blonde hair.

Yes I couldn't agree more excellent post fully support that one.
-
The worst midfielder, is probably the last one before Chapman but I can't remember his name.
Oh hang on its Raynor.

So you are saying Chapman is a bad player and offers nothing to the team.
