Title: Another non league team wound up
Post by: The Third Twin on June 05, 2017, 05:54:28 PM
Ilkeston FC have been wound up over a debt of approx £14,500. Admittedly, they were previously wound up in 2010, so it's a second offence, but that was only over approx. £45,000. These are seemingly such small amounts. I only ever went there once when we lost in a cup match, and I have no affection for Ilkeston at all, but I have much sympathy given the scale of funds that there are in some areas of non league football. It also reiterates the scale of the Chestnuts £3.5m bankroll, and what it gave this club....hope and a future.

Terrible news TTT, feel sorry for the fans and staff, makes the amount money being spent at Salford look perverse,
Makes my blood boil, a drop in the ocean for a premiership club or player.
Another grass roots football club gone.

Very sad.

Was Steve Walsh still working for them?

Good guy and servant to The Pilgrims. NEVER thanked or even acknowledged on the official club website for his services to BUFC when he left. Appalling.
