Title: Travel to Harrogate.
Post by: The President on April 11, 2016, 01:47:11 PM
Just to let those of you who don't use Twitter or Facebook know, the 1st BUSA coach to Harrogate is full and we are providing a 2nd coach, size dependant on demand. please contact the Club office if you would like to book a seat.

Let's try and force BUSA's hand and get more coaches going.
I also know some lads are trying alternate methods of getting there by road
Not a terrible journey by train but you're looking at £40 advance ticket unless you have a railcard

Thats not a friendly approach to the BUSA volunteers who are trying to run buses on behalf of all.

Quite agree Aggy....I'm not sure what "forcing BUSA's hand" would involve, hopefully not chants that involve insults to my or Glen's other half if we don't provide umpteen coaches :-)  Personally, I'd give any preference to the folk who travel on the coaches on a regular basis and thereby help us put on a coach for every game. As you rightly state, the volunteer organisers do a splendid job week in week out and snide comments don't help anyone......

I took it as " come on BUFC supporters lets get a few more to go so we FORCE BUSA TO PUT ON ANOTHER BUS"
More of a rallying cry than an insult.....

Yeah Josh isn't the sort of guy to make disrespectful comments. The way I take it is that he's trying to get more BUFC fans to go to Harrogate and get more supporters behind the team. Let's take over harrogate!!

I'm gobsmacked at the disrespect shown towards Josh who merely dared to encourage more fans to make the trip to Harrogate to support the team. That young man is an absolute credit to our club. He's one of the most decent respectful fans I've had the privilege to meet.

I don't know Joshb but if he is Andy B's lad there is no way he was being dis respective towards BUSA. Like the others I saw it as a rallying call.

No disrespect of anyone from me.

If people read it the other way thats fine. I would just say that it is a peculiar oxymoron!

I'm sure a lot of people on here think they are politicians,
Trying to nip pick every word to make them selves sound good.

JB gave a rallying cry to get more people on busa busses,
And for what little I know of the lad I'm sure he is more educated than a lot
Of us on here.

Always one who takes a quote the wrong way.must be running out of places on that 2nd bus. 18 quid a pop, it's cheaper than a train ticket now, unless you booked in advance.

Would be nice for us to take 300+ and get really behind the lads!

Just like the game agains nuneation a few seasons ago when we drew 1-1 and took nearly 500

Yeah trains are very expensive.  I was going to be a last minute booking up from London.  East Caost have nicely priced me out!

I agree totally about taking quotes the wrong way. To be fair, the same can be said for taking Dens quotes the wrong way also.  Its time we got behind him and the lads on the pitch equally and onwards we march into those play offs.  Massive game this weekend, if we get 250 go then i would be more than happy, any more is a bonus.  ;D

Me lad and I will be going, should be a really good following, looks like their kop end is the place to stand to create an atmosphere, bring it on.

Looking at their forum they seem quite keen to stay there all game. There's 2 decent terraces, both new ones, one down the side and one behind the goal opposite the clubhouse

It's not a kop though, merely 5 or 6 steps with a low roof on it. Easy to get flags on it though. Hopefully their stewards aren't all typical nightclub bouncers who start trouble and then go in heavy handed- which many teams wrongly employ when we have a decent following

Good turnout today and great atmosphere. Well done all

Apart from the person who decided one turnstyle was sufficient for such an important game. I was still queueing to get in at ten past three!  >:(

A good point I thought, could have gone either way. Spiess kept us in it on a couple of occassions, and we left our shooting boots at home (but so did they)

Well done all

Excellent turnout, clearly far higher than whatever they were expecting. Total mess trying to get in... imagine if it's them v s in the final with 3x the crowd....

Although i suspect they'll prepare properly for that, they must have thought there'd be nothing much more than the usual 5-600?
