Cannot see us winning this match after they outplayed us at York StIt's a funny ole game isn't it :)
and somehow lost the game. They are more physical than us and have a
better manager.
Alfreton 3 Boston Utd 0
Attendance 579
Hello it's me. Just a couple of things to put the record straight. After last Tuesday I said it will be a bloody cold day before we won another game, Well I am still thawing out with the help of a lovely bottle of scotch but by gum I was right. I am also raising a glass or two to the management team and the lads for a really great display, everyone gave their all and to be honest we played them off the pitch. A team of six foot plus and we played it through them and at times made them look like a flock of bandy legged storks. All over the park we were the side that played football and believed in what we were doing. Keep up this belief and we will be okay, Oh heck this bottles nearly gone, Well done lads.
Which begs the question - why couldn't they have done I on Tuesday!!!

Because oxo forgot to get a bottle of scotch from Aldi on Tues afternoon ! :)
Credit to Den for taking advice from Oxo and others!
wannabe armchair managers on here seem to have short arms and long pockets when dishing out praise once they have the manager in there sights.Credit to Den for taking advice from Oxo and others!
:police: LOL :police: Or credit to Den for been a far better manager than the wannabe armchair managers who see to know it all ! :bunny Go on, push the boat out and praise him, you know you wanna ;)
Football is a funny old game. Not many of your saw that coming either.
I certainly didn't. Congrats to the manager and particularly the team for
a battling and gritty performance, shame we did not score a few of the
many chances we seemed to create, and could even have blown it at the end.
At least we had Liam back and some strength in midfield with Garner as
suggested by some of us several times already this season
--why could we not have picked that team selection on last Tuesday????
Oh for some consistency. Shame you happy clappers cant find more positive
comments about the team rather than always delighting in having a go at the
likes of me. Some of you must lead a very sad existance.

RE: Team selection :
Only one change (Liam) yesterday from Tues team , from reports , with all respect to Liam I don,t think that one change in the line up would have made an impact on the teams display Tues .
Now one thing that would have had a profound effect on the performances is if DG had listened to your advice , i.e no loanees as you have suggested their no good . That would have left us without Ravas, McEvoy , Richards and Blinco . Not good !!!!
Your suggestion pre home match v Alfreton that we should have kept Galinski would have been costly to us too . Seph was at fault in 3 of the 4 goals we scored against Alfreton . Lets leave the team selection to DG.
We know you read oxo,s posts , oxo offers unreserved praise as always happens when the team and manager gets it right .
May be hard to do but maybe you would feel better by doing the same .
As for "for having a go at the likes of me " as far as I can see your the only one on here mounting a personal campaign against Green .
As a friend I urge you to forget about DG or go and discuss your gripes with him , start to enjoy following bufc again . Your one man campaign will not remove him .
No shame in enjoying your football like us happy clappers .
Pete, Liam was not the only change, as I said in my post on last Tuesdays game I was critical of Robbins starting and he did not start or come on on Saturday. You probably don't see eye to eye with me on this player but I feel we have better options although if he gets himself up to speed at this level I will be happy to see him progress.
Sorry oxo , I should know better than contradict you :)But, he's the kind of player who creates something from nothing... such as the Alfreton home game. He could be the difference at the end of the season.
I think most fans and myself are with you on Robbins , a frustrating type of player for fans and manager I suspect .

Agreed, once Kaine, Jonah and Rollins are fully fit, we have an exciting list of options to play alongside Dayle - even without Simmons and Blinco if they go back.Sorry oxo , I should know better than contradict you :)But, he's the kind of player who creates something from nothing... such as the Alfreton home game. Agree P86 , exciting match winner at times , frustrating other times.
Until he motivates himself to have a bigger input when on the field he will remain an impact sub .
Hope DG can bring out his full potential .
Think most of you having a go at me have missed the point that I
am largely winding you up. Still you will be pleased to know that
I have decided not to bother to respond to your constant nit picking
over my posts. I suggest you read them closely again, because what
I am being accused of has usually been taken out of context.
So no more posts from me apart from the prediction league.
Perhaps you are happy now, but no doubt will start having a go at
somebody else who has the audacity to be critical of things they do not like.
