Feels like we need 3 new players.
-
Only 4 months too late Den! Should have been signing not sunbathing on Benidorm beach!

Holiday at Christmas? ?
-
Probably next week! Hopefully
-
Heard a rumour one will be Connor Robinson back on loan from Lincoln
-
Wouldn 't need to put in a seven day notice if that were the case?
-
Apparently we've put in the required notice for these players and subject to them agreeing terms, they should be available to start against Nuneaton. Two of these players should be known to us already according to the manager.
I really hope these players are the missing links in our squad. Granted it's taken longer than anyone wanted but maybe now we can finally start the season.
-

2 of them are 7-dayers, but 3 in total
-
Lets hope the CM is experienced enough to steady the ship and direct the team on the field , badly need an old head to provide younger players leadership .
Difficult to envisage fast progress up the league without a better goalie
-
In my view we need 5 players. Goalkeeper, left back, two midfield players and another centre forward. I would prefer a new manager in place though before we panic into signing or getting in more loan players, which we all know unless we are very lucky like Max last year, do not work.

Rarely does the simple solution appear to be he correct one .
Remember the present band of protesters hounding Jason Lee out ?
What did it get us in return ? Yes , Graham Drury !!!!
Did they back Drury ? did they hell !!!
Soon hounded Drury out , would the new incumbent prove they made he right move .
Give credit to this small vociferous group for what followed . If Greene departs anytime soon his CV will read as follows.
2012-13 season . Joined BUFC mid-season inheriting a team of UNI (sth) class players and saved the club from religation .
2013-14. Finished 6th in the league going into the last game of the season with an outside chance of making play-offs .
2014 -2015 . Many had wrote off our chances of making play-offs , but produced a usual 2nd half season surge to make 3rd place and play-offs .
In my time at the club my signings have produced the following --
2013-14 The Con North Player of the Year .
" Another player selected for Team o t year .
2014-15 Two players selected for NC team of year .
Two players called up for England C training .
A fairly impressive for Greene to take away .
Now I guess this little band calling for Green,s to go have got some one in mind with a better CV , or what the point of calling for him to go ?

eloquently put GHM
As keep saying..........Careful for what you wish for

With all the off-field stuff to sort out this season / next season, I think it is highly unlikely DG will lose his job. DN just has too many other priorities.
The only way I could see this happening is if we were in serious relegation trouble (unless of course DG was set a target of promotion). In my opinion I don't think a mid-table finish will worry DN too much this season - anything better than that - like play-offs or a cup run would be an absolute bonus.
Not great for the fans, who tasted football league a few years ago and a near miss with promotion last year, but we are still in a recovery and re-building phase and the off the pitch activities get no more significant than they are at this time.

If 2 are known to us and have played at a higher level, is one of them bazza? Also, I believe micky nuttell was seen in town recently. Maybe he's the second saviour? ::)
-
No news, nearly the weekend and was hoping to hear we had made some positive signings
-
Hear you have signed Ryan Robbins from Stamford, well good luck to you on that one. Proven goal scorer though
-
good luck to you on that one
Bitter because your fans hounded him out before playing a game?
-
Well that's ..erm .. 1 out of 3 .
Unproven at this level ? but hopefully another 'whats his name ' .
Will they be ashen faced down the Zeeco ?
-
welcome Ryan, seen a twitter comment from a fan/player at Stamford 'keep winning them headers'. Hoefully hes what weve been lacking up front, also seen dennis's comment that its took him 2 years to get him to sign so hes been on the radar a while.
-

Not at all, just read the comments on Stamford forum about his effect in changing room. I hope he does it for you
-
Could he be the new Ricky Miller ?

Obviously didn't affect his goalscoring!

Some people really need to get their facts right before spouting drivel, when he stood there waving a Linnets scar he had already signed for Barwell and was using it as leverage to get a better deal. He wasn't hounded out he used a personal argument with one fan as his excuse as to why he hadn't signed, claimed the fan had threatened him and his family, when it was the complete opposite, added to this was his desire to fight the Lynn fans on when they played at Stamford. Welcome to him. :bunny

Must be a brave lad taking on both of you?

I'm quite calm, just drinking my tea and musing on the Ryan Robbins poor me story being unravelled again, won't deny he has the ability to do a job for you,but mentally i think you are taking a chance. Every team he has left was never his fault, always someone else to blame,if he under performs and more vocal fans get on his back he will lose it. All about opinions, must remember to message Dennis and congratulate him,and remind him it is his round. :dan

I think contents of your posts ("fighting fans") maybe reveals it as an astute signing .
Just pick him for home games , sub him afer 85 mins and station him near the Spayne Rd tea bar until players and management have left the field . :dan
-
Looks like this is a guy who can score a lot of goals and may be the key in making a success of the footballing side of the business this season.
-
bring him on he' s just the player we need to sort thing's out on the pitch and in the dressing room ;) ;)wellcum
-
Just hope this isn't another "timms" signing?
-
Just hope this isn't another "timms" signing?
Which was my initial thought. Risky to say the least.
-
So where are the other 2? More broken promises from a flawed and increasingly desperate manager.
-

Are you suggesting he will be a failure already ? :bunny
-
Don't panic. Soon be Christmas. All sorted by then.
-
Mr. Robbins has just scored on his debut and Southwell makes it 0-2 ! Who'd of predicted we'd be two up in the space of 25 minutes. Christmas has come early :dan
-
According to commentator Nuneaton are playing like Boston have been playing. The question is Are we ahead because Nuneaton are rubbish. Robbins certainly made a difference, shame nothing was done earlier, before Gainsborough say.
-

One player in negotiation the other was ill, as Denis said in his interview today we can put in 7 day notice to players dosnt mean they will sign just gives him the chance to talk /negotiate with them, give the guy a chance,
Seems to me its easy to be a keyboard manager with all the answers, unlike Den who is out there doing it for real in the real world.
And dosnt have a computer screen to hide behind !!! ;)

I defy anyone to put it better , well said LL .

What exactly would the manager have to do for you to say well done??
(Not just DG but any Boston manager?)
-
Great result, well done to Dennis, players and fans who made the trip. Sounded like we played how we did through March and April. A win again next week and we are
really back in it
-
Best all-round performance since Solihull away last year. Could have been a bigger victory, as Dayle should have had a hat-trick.

There are many things Den does in the real world
You are not his PA are you?

I wonder why supporters nearly always say that when their team, our team are getting beat?
Rarely do we compliment our opponents or accept that we lost because they played really well, goodness me no, 90% of the time it is purely because we are shite. Nuneaton it appears are no different, does me laugh that
-
If we win, they're shite. If we lose, we're shite. If we draw, we're both shite.
That's Boston fans!

The overwhelming opinion of the Nuneaton fans appeared to be that the Boro manager was tacticly
out manoeuvred by Greene .
-
Yep, lot of folks slating dens tactical ability, but he got it spot on yesterday, 3 up front pressing their back four and they struggled to cope with it, not saying Dennis is a tactical genius but give the bloke some credit where its due.
