Who would you have in your BUFC squad, from the players already signed and ones who've played on trial?
GKs:
Vince and Gledhill (both eligible for U21s, too)
Defenders:
Mills, Garner, Piergianni, Reynolds, Steer, Smythe, Galinski
Midfielders:
Barlow, Felix, McGhee, Marshall, Dowie, Meadows, Hollingsworth, Hall
Forwards:
Newsham, Southwell, Cole, Sanders (but send on loan)
Squad of 21, but I'd expect Smythe, Hollingsworth and Cole to start with the U21s (and Sanders out on loan), providing cover for the 1st team. Hopefully, we may get one or 2 in on free loans - maybe a young striker? A pacy striker who plays on the shoulder of the defenders would be a decent addition...
EDIT: Forgot about Hall, would have him and Meadows in the middle together.

Would have Hall in the squad for me. Gledhill didn't have much to do tonight as Forest sat back a bit at that point. Maybe room for Watson if Garner is going to play up front.
-
GK; Vince & Gledhill
Defenders; Mills, SG, Pidge, Steer, Watson, (and the blond lad Reynolds is it. Still getting used to names) I fear Stef could be released.
Midfield; Felix, Mcghee, Marshall, Dowie, possibly Indy (and the lad who had trials with Lincoln, forget his name as well! :-\)
Forwards; Newsham and possibly Southwell

GK: Vince and Gledhill
DF: Steer, Pidge, Galinski, Reynolds, Mills and Watson (Still not sure if we need him or not but is a very good defender so putting him in.)
MF: Dowie, (hopefully) Hall, Marshall, McGhee, Felix
FWD: Newsham, Garner, Southwell plus A.N Other - someone quicker than the other three who can take players on.
U21'S
Barlow
Smythe
Sanders
Dowie could be a hard player to replace and for me would make a good partnership with Hall in the middle and Felix and McGhee on the wings would leave the midfield sorted. Spoilt for choice in defence, two good 'keepers and hopefully Newsh fit soon enough will give us a good squad.

GK: 1 + GLEDHILL
DF: STEER,PIDGE,GARNER,RENOLDS,SMYTHE,WATSON, and maybe MILLs.
MF: McGHEE, FELIX, MEADOWs, HOLLINGWORTH,HALL, DOWIE (if he stays).
FW: I can only see NEWSHAM but will he be the player he as been.
MF: I have not seen anyone to replace ROSS or MILNES as yet.

Would love to also add Agnew to the squad; he is better than any of the many trialists we have used in midfield.

+1

Greene has confirmed that Dowie has signed for Boston so good news does a good job in fornt of the back four.

Great news.

Brilliant news. Just another midfielder and a pacy striker to complete the squad now..

Jake Hall will more than likely also get a deal, maybe agnew also so just a Miller replacement needed and that isn't a small task.
If we do not find a direct replacement for Miller yet maybe his goals and pace could be replaced elsewhere. We didn't often play with wingers last season but Felix and McGhee could offer pace in a 442. Hall or Agnew in the middle with Dowie who could both get goals whilst Dowie is in the team to offer protection for the defence and to start attacks going forward. Could see Felix, McGhee and Hall or Agnew all getting 7 or 8 over the season, more than any of our midfield last season.

Why are managenent aiming for a squad of 18 ?
I would have thought with no apparent big money signings , they could stretch to 20/ 21 to give at least season-tickets holders fairplay ..

With with 18 players and loans you can afford better qaulity players .
