Why are we finding it hard to sign players?
It was not that long ago when players where contacting Boston asking to play.
I remember Gary Simpson just turning up at a Boston training session and asking for a trial.

players compare the market and get better deals - simples

It's simple why we are finding it hard to attract players.. The lack of money we have to spend.. clubs at this level are paying crazy money.

Pre-season training has now started - maybe DG is doing the diligent thing and seeing any new recruits in action before he signs them? Something he probably didn't do with Gary Mills last year, considering he hadn't played for months.
Judge the squad in August, not June! There are still plenty of players available - some hoping for higher than Conference North, but will have to drop to this level.

Would like to see Kyle Dixon back on loan from Notts County again. Also Greene said at the end of last season that he wanted two Sunderland players on loan at any one time this year in order to share travelling costs.

Mainly money and partly geography.
Some clubs are paying quite silly money.
We really need to impressed by what we've manage to retain.....
